O.K. guys, I said in the first post to not ask questions here. Ask Rigo, the Make-Ready manager. His number is posted.

hey Bad89stang .. i think they were asking Amber ... so chill
BTW i have about a YEAR experiance DETAILING...
here is a small list of things:
vacume - hand waxing - or machine waxing (w/ a buffer) - compounding and buffing - armor all, dash and tire - shampoo , carpet ... seats (if they were cloth) - leather cleaning - tar remove - bug remove --- ect ...
the employer i worked with said i was the best he had ever had, i learn very quickly so i had it down with in a few days, he said i was right up there with him, and he has been doing it most of his life.
BUT the sad thing is that i dont live in the dallas area i am in east texas ... so i guess i am screwed
plus i got to work around 60 hours a week .. though i did help out doing other things when i didnt have any detailing to do .. i got time and a 1/2 for anything over 40 hours also ... i brought home NICE  checks too

What is the dealership?
I'm guessing the pay isn't all that great. Not like it's an intense job that requires any sort of skills or training/history. Could be different at those dealerships, but my friend who did it at Ford Country in Lewisville made $7/hour. When I worked at Five Star I made $7.25/hour. Just to give you an estimate. However, we were both 17/18 at the time. Might be a little different depending on age though.

The pay is actually pretty good. You don't get paid by the hour, they go by flag hours. Some of the make ready guys are running 100+ hours of flag work per week. You do the math.
