Texas A&M Sports Car Club Spring 2005 Autocross #2

Come out to our semester's second autocross. The course will be designed by Bryan Knight and myself. Be sure to show up early! There will be late fees for those who do not make it to registration on time (and you get to deal with an angry Benton). We recently bought some more tables and a new tent for registration so things should move along better. Hopefully the weather will hold out for this weekend!

Registration: 0800 - 0930
Tech: 0900 - 1015
Driver's Meeting: 1015
Cost: $10 for members and $15 for non-members

How about a sample course layout? By the looks of it you guys are running on an 80 foot wide runway....or Narrow course. I am used to the mineral wells setup that is nice and big/fast. Short tight courses aren't really fun anymore especially with a mustang that pushes like a freight train at low speeds......

auto-x 3 is normally a "power course" if thats what you want...but your sig says it turns okay :P

besides, technical courses are funner.

Technical is fine but slow and tight doesn't really do it for me. Noticed most of your courses are around 60 seconds for FTD.......kind of short. I am going to pass for now. 3 hours down and 3 back to make 4 runs is a tough sell.....

Good luck and it looks like you guys have a pretty good turn out!!!

Matt, the course I ran on last year was pretty tight and small except for the back section where the runways meet. I hate autocross, so I'm not much of a judge... LOL

That's a bit far to drive for an A/X. However, I do hope ya'll have a great turn out and if ever up this way on the weekend check w/ Aggie97 or http://www.lscbmwcca.org/ for a schedule of our A/X's. (No hijack intended, just a welcome to ya'll.)
Keep the shiney side up!

Shit Darren, my car has no shiney side anymore!!! ;)

I don't know how many events I will make this year for AX. I am going to concentrate on getting ready for an american Iron campaign in 06' so I will be hitting up DE's at Hallet, TWS and maybe the one in Louisiana. Once I get the IRS paid off I will start figuring out budget and attendance as well as the finishing touches on the car.

Beyond that, I just don't know. I have become so busy at work it's driving me nuts. I am hoping that this new software package we were to start using back in October of last year will be on line soon so my day becomes easier and will free up some time for me to spend at HOME instead of the office.

<----headed to work this morning instead of having fun with the car.
