2001 stock vet im in a 2001 lightning only mod is a tuned chip. trying to call out my boss he claims he will smoke me not worth it? wtf :mad: lol i think he bought the vet cause i smoked him in my lighty moded gt vs his 350z

That "tuned chip" should add 150hp or so, you shouldn't have a problem.

I had an 01 like yours, and wouldn't have any problems with near stock Vettes through the 1/8th. All mine had was a chip, airbox and lower 4 lb. pulley- and was good for 8.0-8.2 @ 84-87 mph. (on 555'R's) (8.07 best)... ZO-6's were toast too through the 1/8th, but don't race one in the 1/4 mile....They would generally be by me at around 800-1000 feet. My best 1/4 mile time on 555R's was a 12.68 @ 109....

Its all about the car. I have seen some stock vettes run high 8s. Ive also seen a couple with some different gears, some drag radials, headers, full exhaust, and intake run 7.6. They are fast on the top end you will get beat down at the other end of the track.
