I was standing there when the car took off - it went further than it did last week before it blew the tires off. :eek: But when you got back in it - it sounded like it ran out of fuel on the nitrous side... you could hear the motor lugging down and then you finally let off.. I hope it didn't hurt it :(

Nitrous is such a safe and predicable poweradder..I doubt he had any problems :P

It appears to be a gasket failure. Looks like the bore diameter of the gasket was a bit too big. The motor is double o-ringed. One in the head and one bigger one in the block. It looks like the block ring was missed by the gasket on a couple of the cylinders and lit the gasket up in that specific hole. All the cylinders went lean due to a fuel solenoid fitting not being tight. Lucky it didn't catch on fire.

One good thing did come out though. It went 6.48 @ 113.77 on the motor with a 1.63 60'. The converter is soooo tight. It doesn't move until 100' or so.

No pistons but, it cut the head and the block. taking them to the machine shop today.

Trying to get it back together for the 19th, if not, then it will be ready by the cruise for sure.

I've heard lots of great things about TT's car. I've also heard through the grapevine that Fastgirl's helping tech on the car. I know her personally and think she's pretty cool (very smart). She says she's got a street car with some great power. Anyone know anything about it?
