Red Cobra @ Denton Friday

Anyone know the guy in the Red 03/04 cobra friday night I had just arrived and some guys were pushing it back to the pit from the far end of the track, and loaded it onto a trailer? :confused:

He was parked next to me and some of my friends that night.. I talked to the guy when I was leaving and he said he broke something in the rearend... I guess if he wants to really race it he might want to buy a built 8.8 solid rear and put up in there... He wasn't running all that good from what I seen.. High 8's... :rolleyes:

Anyone know what the white GT had on it? I think he was trapping around 90mph; I guessed he was on spray but wasn't sure.

I didn't see any white GT trapping around 90mph... If you are talking about the one that has the Weld ProStars on it.. I don't think he has N2o on his car but he broke his spider gears out there that night... And one of my friends in the White 02 Z28 on Prostars also broke something in the rear that night.. It was making a slight poping sound going around corners.. So I think he also broke a tooth off the spider gears.. He only made about 5 passes that night with the best one of 7.12@98mph.. That was banging the rev limiter bad in the 2nd to 3rd shift with the auto tranny.. Once he gets his tunning issues fixed I think that car has some 6.8's in it..

So why did the guy in MM&FF from texas with the Sonic blue car cut a 1.44 60 with just upgraded axles/brace and a spool???? Why change the whole rear??

He was lucky that is why... If you drag race the IRS is not what you want in the rear.. IRS is made for road racing.. Didn't you know that??? So what you said above proves what I'm talking about, he had to brace up the rear so it wouldn't move kinda like a solid rear don't you think.. but anyway I bet if he took that set up on a road course it wouldn't handle worth a shit...
