6.54 @ 111.70 motor only. Never made a full nitrous run because it blew the tires off at 15 feet. Track was too cold lane and not prepped enough. Looking to try again on a better day SOON. One of the fuel Solenoids got some crap in it. We're gonna clean it out today.
I just wanted to thank Hutto, Travis Franklin, Mike Millsap, Jimmy Harr, Gran86, Brian Walker, Andrew (Andy Werl), Kevin Hargett and everyone else that helped out.
Hopefully I can get my street car tweeked and take it out sometime soon.

That 6.54 was right off the trailer. It is a little sluggish on the motor in the first 100' or so. went 86.40mph at the 330' and went 111.70 out the back. 25 mph gain is very strong. The nitrous pass just let the tires fly just after I let go of the transbrake.
This thing is going to fly on the nitrous. Car is back together and ready for next weekend.

I don't think the track had anything to do with it, I mean after he did his burnout, there was more than 2 minutes before he made the run. The tires just got cold

I could only imagine shifting at 8000+ RPM's! Maybe in the next 10 years I will be able to save up and get some parts that can go that high.

Don't forget that the track was in need of a good scrapin'. There was loose rubber all over and some pretty bad bald spots.
It sure looked like the rear of the car was waaaay to tight or the slicks had some major air in them.... I am sure it will make a huge difference with the spray on and dialed in..it may not look so "bouncy" then..

Sounds like theres alot more in it on motor. With that kind of mph. What was the best time?

That was the only time. It was the first run on the car, ever. The second run was on the nitrous and was aborted.
Hopefully next weekend will be a bit warmer.

Im not sure where yall live. But you should try cedar creek. The track hooks. And it sounds like denton is getting worse. (from some things ive heard) I dot know from experience. Never been there.
But I cut the same 60' at cedar creek as I do at red line.
I usually get 1.50-1.55 But I have gotten 1.48 and a 1.49
So far my best has been at cedar creek. I got a 6.76 @ 101 with a 1.5 60'
(302 stroker motor)
Let me know and we can meet up here at the shop (its on the way) and ill show you the way.
Im going to borrow a freinds Nitrous express kit for my car.
Ill be putting juice on mine for the first time. :D

WHen I got home I checked the humidity and you have your answer...We were not prepared for 90+% humidty because earlier during the day it wasnt that high. We chose the lane choice 5 instead of 6 and we paid for that mistake later in the night. Track just want there.

That's cool. The weather came in fast. When it got dark, the temp was dropping very quickly. We will get it next time, no problem. Just keep them crappy wrong real drive cars from being in front of me. Stupid Acura, it wasn't even fast.

LMAO....It probably could have made a decent pass if the kid had some balls. He was scared of the car. The next pass he came around and I broke his axles. LOL Cant say it wasnt that sticky because those were stage 5 axles...LOL

I think its a different Mike he's got a Renegade stang that they fought with problems all last year. Hopefully 05 goes better for him.
Mike
The problem with Cedar Creek is with a fast car you will loose traction about 1/2 track. On the motor there was no problem (6.40s to 50s). With the n2o you really had to take a lot out of it. Tune your car for 5.90s to 6.00 and you could run all night, step it up for some 5.70s and you would wind up running a spinning 6.30. 60ft was in the low 1.30s there.
