Hey guys,

I recently started a new job that involves heavy travel. Sitting in the hotel room at night with nothing to do gets kind of old, so I was thinking about buying a pretty bad ass laptop from alienware. If I did, I will be selling my current system.

What do you guys think about the setup, and how much would you be willing to pay.

Shuttle SN95G5 (nforce 3 250)
1 GIG Corsair XMS Pro PC3200 Dual Channel
WD Raptor 36 gig HD
Maxtor 40 GIG HD
BFG 6800 GT (256MB GDDR3)
AMD 64 3200+ (Winchester), processor stays under 30 degrees C in this machine and is easily overclockable with this ram. I have it OC'd 400mhz right now.
Dell 17" LCD ultra sharp

Oh yeah, and there is a Lite-on 16X dual layer DVD writer in it as well. Backs up a DVD in about 20 min.

That's a pretty nice rig.

well how much are you looking for?
and are you interested in parting it out?

I'd part it out if I had some reasonable offers.....It does already have Win XP Pro SP2, and Win64 in a dual boot. I'd sell everything including the LCD for probably $1650. The parts alone i priced yesterday at $1500. I really would like to sell it as one piece though.

by the way....I average about 150fps in CS: Source with absolutely everything turned up.

Even though it's worth that much your not going to get anywhere near that selling it on here.
Good luck getting 1300 from it.

I will trade you a Compaq 2190US laptop 2.4ghz/ 1 gig of ram/ cd burner-dvd player combo/ xp pro and some extras. Plus a little cash. Since you are going to be traveling this would fit the bill.

appreciate the offers guys, however, i have a laptop from work that suits me just fine for basic computing needs (hp 2.4ghz). The reason i'm selling my shuttle is because I am a gamer at heart and need to be able to play on the road in hotels etc. So I need a laptop that can play the games that I want, i.e. the alienware that has 3.6ghz P4, 1 gig 533mhz ram, and a pci xpress 6800 256mb video card in it....

I really just wanted your opinion on how much you guys thought it was worth, i'll probably sell it on ebay or something.

$1417 brand new on newegg.....considering this computer is about a week old I'd ask $1250 for it if anyone knows someone that wants a pretty bad ass computer....i'll sell the LCD by itself for $350.
