Salary $11.41 - $12.50/hourly
Description Under general direction of the Airfield Operations Officer, the Temporary Airfield Operations Agent will escort construction-related vehicles and equipment within the Air Operations Area (AOA) of the airport in a safe and efficient manner; monitor vehicular activity within the AOA for compliance with FAA and Airport rules and regulations; monitor and report unsafe conditions in and around AOA construction sites; monitor and facilitate communications within the Airport Operations Department.
Job Requirements MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Completion of high school curriculum or equivalent. Two years of airfield/flight line experience in one or more of the following areas: A. Pilot B. Aircraft ground handler/fueler C. Other activities directly associated with airfield/flight line D. Air traffic control tower operator. Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above. Possession of a valid Class C driver's license. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Working knowledge of FAA regulations, airport ground procedures and communication procedures. Knowledge of two-way radio terminology and protocol. Ability to drive for extended periods of time and escort vehicular traffic within active AOA. Ability to communicate clearly by two-way radio using proper terminology and radio protocol. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to prepare and maintain supporting records, reports and files. Ability to deal courteously, tactfully and effectively with tenants, construction workers and other employees. Ability to work hours determined by a rotating shift assignment. Ability to pass a medical physical examination.

Special Requirements This is a designated safety sensitive position as defined in the Drug and Alcohol Policy of the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport Policies Manual. Applicants selected for this position will be Required to pass a drug screening test prior to employment and to submit to drug screening on a random basis during the length of their employment in the safety sensitive position
