reset your modems, they upgraded speed a couple of days ago, I went from 400k downloads to 570k.

upload speed also went up from 24k to 40k

Normal paying customers with the 3meg/sec - 256k upload, went to 4meg down and 384up.

The 4mg customers went to 6 meg down and I think 784k or something like that up.

get the 4mg service they offer, it was just upgraded to 5mb or so down and 768k or there abouts up.

Weird, I unplugged my modem for a minute or so, then tried the test again, and my speeds are the same.

I have Charter. I'm not sure but I think it may suck. I don't know because I've never had anything else.

The upgrades took place on the 26th. About 30 cities around the country got the upgrade and there are more to come. The new caps are 4300/384 for the standard package and for $10 more you get 6600/784. Here is my test result after the upgrade.

2005-01-26 20:17:27 Speed test @ dfw.speakeasy.net 6141/711 kbps

If you don't get speeds close to the Caps do the Tweaktest on DSLReports and use DrTCPIP to tweak your windows settings. Mainly RWIN.
