So...traffic is slowing rapidly on 114 this morning, don't know why, and Im approaching the bottle neck. Turns out that a car on the side of the road apparently lots hold of its front bumper grill, grill only...didn't see the rest of the bumper on the road. It looked like it was still on the car.

Didn't appear that there had been a wreck between 2 or more cars either, anyway, so things started to speed up I did too as things were clearing, and low and behold that car's plastic grill section was right in the middle of my lane, revealed to me only moments a car w/ sufficient clearance drove over it it

I was in 1st and need it up quick and w/ short notice so I gave it just the slightest clutch and pulled her up about a foot or so, rode of that plastic thing square on the back tire, caught a lil air as I cleared it too :)

I think that had I hit the piece head on w/ the front tire it would have been bad. As it turned out I think I'm lucky, but It wasn't that dramatic, I guess the height of plastic grill might have been 6-8" standing on the road. Kinda crazy for the morning commute, I'm sure the cars around me loved the show :)

Good skills, man. Lately I've had the urge to wheelie.

Last night, I tried to run it up to 5k in 1st, close the throttle and then whack it open. Needless to say I punked out and didn't whack it back open hard enough but, I did feel the "g's" from that manueuver. I'm gonna take my time with it.

I hear that, I'm not much of a wheelie guy myself. I follow the 'if you can still see over the windscreen, you haven't gone too far yet' rule. So far its worked!

Glad to hear everything went over smoothly this morning for you. Are you riding tonight???

And let me guess...right after you clutched it up and launched off of the bumper, you flew off onto a dirt road where you raced the leader of the Black Knights and became the King of Cali???

Tonight I've got dinner plans and after dinner plans

Were you and greg going out to Sonic? That sill the Thursday spot? I can't say I've ever 'really' enjoyed going out there, and the cops have a heavy presence when I have been out there. To make up for not riding though, I rode to work today...on that gimp rear tire which is 1/2 cord  maybe I can find time to take care of that next week!

You know I gotta keep it real  I really did catch a bit of air though, maybe 25-30mph on the accel... It would have been pretty fat had I thought to grab some break and do a stoppie upon returning back to earth

And who doesn't race on dirt, derr!

I would say better yes, though I'm kinda cautious w/ the R1 as it seems to come up fast. I don't realy even wheelie that much at all, I've like almost no practice at it hence the poor performance :)
