Let me preface this with the fact that, while I am deeply sorry for those DIRECTLY affected by the tsunamis, I do not understand the second wave of donations.

How much money have the "bleeding heart" countries donated our way to help rebuild damages from the hurricanes or the current landslides/flooding in California?

Also, for all the people donating, what kind of sense does it make to invest/donate money for someone to rebuild a shack in the same area that was just swept away?

And while it is terrible that millions are homeless over there, there are millions of homeless over here that nobody gives a damn about?

Well, while I don't really agree with some of your statements...I personally will not donate any EXTRA money. See, the way I see it is that every American citizen that pays their taxes has already donated. That simple, unless I am missing something.

I save my charity funds for veteran related stuff and ACS. That much money flooding in, I know a lot of it'll get wasted or not put to good use anyway.

Take care

I heard that one a few days ago from a Fox commentator when I was listening to the Tsunami Relief thing on the radio (said jokingly).

Simple solution.

If you don't want to give to the tsunami victims. Don't. Send it to the homeless in America, or the mudslide victims in California.

Or better yet, volunteer at a homeless shelter, or help dig up some mud in California.

Anyone remember what happened in Bangladash back in the 70's. I just remember the rock concert to raise money, but it was weather related. Now another diaster and lets all get some money together to send. Sam Kinison did a bit in one of shows where he said don't send these people a dime. If you really want to help send them plane tickets, move you fucking idiot, cause where you live sucks.

Yep more than 300,000 in 70 and 130,00 in 1991 both cyclone-induced flooding.
