LMAO....there is some other dude over there crying about meteors I am sure. And another about Typhoons and another about earthquakes.

Hindsight is always 20/20. If the Tsunami hadn't happened this guy would still be a dumbass instead of a critic.

That's part of being the superpower. The world (and especially the media) will try to impose responsibilities on you no matter what.

whew, good thing Smith Thammasaroj's here to give us uneducated folks the heads up that "earthquakes near underwater fault lines can create potentially deadly tsunamis" [gasp]. who woulda thunk it. I'd have never guessed it possible that tsunamis in coastal regions could ever lead to large-scale loss of life (errrrr... ummmm... past occurances in Sanriku, Japan-1896, Papua, New Guinea-1998, etc excluded ;) )

hmmm.... Make visionary claims of inevitable natural disasters, follow up with a few filmed media appearances and dramatically play up the consequences of inaction and lack of preparation. The old recorded warnings go on standby to be released should the said disaster occur, Smith 1 : Meany American Public 0.

Guess I can try to get on the gravy train too. I predict California will incur a massive earthquake with large land portions being severed from the main land. The obligitory massive loss of property of life ensues. I'll now go lie in wait for my day of redemption to arrive. Prepare to crown your new King of Prediction or Vice Minister of the National Disaster Warning Office, whichever pays more. :p

It's funny to come home and see people going about their everyday lives like there isn't a problem in the world. The rest of the world's population doesn't have that luxury. A lot of that comes from the people running this country doing a great job at giving Americans comfort and a piece of mind. Kinda nice to go home and truely relax.

I have always been a strong supporter of our government and how the US steps up and takes on a leadership role throughout the world, someone needs to. Recently, I have a new-found respect for what our country does for the rest of the world since I'm part of it and witnessing it first hand. One of the downsides to taking on the whole world's problems is that you're gonna be blamed for the negative thins that happen as well. What sets us apart is that despite our negative criticism, we're the first and strongest form of defense, aid, support, morale, and leadership for the rest of this world that seems to be comming apart. Paint a fucking "S" on our flag because we're saving the day whether people like it or not!

Why can't it just be because it's the right thing to do and needs to be done? Seriously bro, there's still good people left in this world.
