View Full Version : Anyone have experience with the Speedo Healer?

I've -1 on the front and my speedo is off somewhere around 10%. I like the acceleration afforded by the sprocket change but I want to have my speedo accurate as it also throws off my odometer accordingly and I'd rather keep accurate mileage (more so than accurate speed) for checking my gas mileage, oil change interval, and possible resale later.

Any ideas how well this works and how accurate it is?

I don't know anything about that particular brand, but I've talked to people that have them and they are very accurate (at least for electronic speedometers).

I've got a drop tooth on mine and was going to get a recalibrator, but I never wanted to spend the money.

Next time around I'll go up 3 on the rear when I need a new chain, that way the speedo isn't affected.

the speedo is affected by any gear change.

I've been meaning to get one, jose, i hear they are pretty nice, and the plug and play models are sweet.

Cory has one.

Speedo Healer is cheaper than Yellow box kind and it has high speed recall. well worth the money at like...I dunno...$75 -$80. Got mine from Cal Sportbike ( I think).

Thanks for the advise everybody. I'm going to order it this weekend. How easy is it to install? How hard is it to configure?

they are simple. if you can understand how to play an xbox, you can do this. They are supposed to be super accurate on the digital speedos. damn analogs arent accurate even with regular sprocket.

And yes I agree with Adam, your speedo is affected regardless of whether you change front or rear sprocket. It is all about how fast you are going versus how fast your tranny is spinning.

jose, if you need help installing the solder in one, i've got your back.

let me know, but i'd get the plug and play one myself, much easier, and no permanent mods to the bike.

I'm definitely getting the plug and play unit. Might need some help configuring it though. I'll let you know once it comes in. Thanks man.

Mine works well but I did have to use a GPS to get it completely accurate. Their online calculater gets it closer than factory, but a good GPS gets it fuckin right on the donkey dong.

Well shit I sold my GPS a while back  Do you have one? Later on once I get it installed I'll probably want to get it dead on accurate and might need your help if you have a GPS.
