My Dixie Wrecked WRECKED

Jason AKA My Dixie Wrecked had a Motorcycle accident Monday afternoon at about 3. He ruptured his Spleen, and punchured a Lung. The Spleen came out and he is really pissed off at him self. The bike fish tailed and he corrected it but it sounds like he over corrected and hit the curb and he went into the median along with the bike. He had surgery yesterday at about 5 O Clock and Plano Presby where I am sure he will be for the rest of the week. This is his fiance, so please keep him in your thoughts. The bike however is fine, just a cracked windshield, a bent mirror and some grass in the farrings. Feel free to email me if you would like any other details. He is still in ICU and I hope to find out if he is getting a room today Tuesday or if he will remain in ICU for another day. Please again keep him in your prayers. And for those of you who think he was messing around he wasn't, he was getting ready to turn.

WOW! I'm so sorry to hear that but glad he's alive and sounds like he will make a good recovery. Please let us know how he's doing and maybe some of us can get together this weekend and come visit him.

I've never met him before and I hate to meet him under these circumstances but want to show my support for him.

It might be better if you guys wanted to get together on Saturday or something b/c when he is in ICU you can only have 2 visitors at a time. He is still really groggy.

Well see that is what is messed up about this whole thing is that on my birthday which was friday and all weekend we were talking about motorcycle accidents and he was looking them on the internet. We all jinxed him and he jinxed himself.

Wrecks just happen and when you east expect it. I broke my clavicle last year just doing a simple turn. He will be more careful next time around. I know I take it a little slower in the turns than I used to. Hope he gets better and gets back on the bike soon. I was a little nervous getting back on after my spill, but I love it and won't let it get me down.

Yea, he has already said he wants to sell the bike. He had made a comment to my cousin about selling it before he killed himself. I also know the dangers, I have been drag racing since I was 10 and I am 22 now. The roads have a lot of crap on them too from the ice we had and whatever so he might have caught the back tire on loose sand or gravel. But thank you all for you support and sympathy.

Went to go see him today. He was all drugged up and stuff. He was hitting the "pain control" button every five min. lol He didn't look bad at all till he showed me his new zipper on his belly. Then he started talking about what they took out of him and he kept wanting to say his pancreas sp? lol He's in good spirits tho and wanting to get home to recover. I was told he may be home between tomorrow and 15 days from today, but considering the source was "on the button", think it will be the end of the week.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I just got back from the hospital and he is doing breathing excercises and things. He may not be out of ICU for a while because they are having an overflow problem. All the rooms are taken so it may be awhile. If any of you would like to come to the hospital I will be there around 5:30 and two can go in at a time. If you can't find me ask for Jason Crawford. Thank you again for all the support I really need it with his parents being out of state and it being on me. Thank you all for the friendly hand and things. I will let you know when many people can visit. Thank you again.

Well Jason just called me the doctor said he was either leaving later this afternoon or tommorrow, but the doctor said looks like Tommorrow. hey guys thanks for all the kind words. Im good just feeling really old right now and just a little sore. and just for the record i never did lose contorl i knew i was gonna hit the curb!!! But i did NOT LOSE control damn it!! go figure this time i was going about a 1/16th as fast as my last crash and got 30 times the bruises a battering. oh well ill be back riding soon just a little more hesitate now.
