Damn what a rb we got. He has really showed people he was worth that draft pick. He looks like the RB we have been looking for. Our future looks good if our defense can come back together.

Well Michaels and Madden had a point in the fact that we will need a good RB to give him a break every know and then. I was really impressed with his last few games.

You cant make that judgement on a half season. When I said O. Smith (Vikes RB) ran similar to Barry Sanders I got slammed for it.

Yup....I saw a pic of him in the paper last week and was thinking......damn this guys looks like Emmitt, is built like Emmitt and apparently he runs like Emmitt.

Damn glad someone finally steeped up.

<-----Officially on the JJ bandwagon :D

In the way that he keeps his shoulders low and changes direction, he looks like Barry Sanders. He doesn't shuffle his feet as much, which IMO can be a good or bad thing depending on the situation.

I think he is going to end up being very good as long as the Cowboys can open holes up for him.

Jesus People,

He has run against the Bears and the Seahawks. Let that boy run against the Steelers or Patriots and see what happens. I agree he has great quality and is a great running back, but damn, after 2 good games to compare him to a great running back is ridiculous.

I agree, he's had 3 good games and people are already saying that he's the next Emmitt?? I admit that he's good, but not that good....yet.

Just to clear things here, Nobody ran like Barry Sanders, period. Emmitt tried his hardest to get the record when Barry had it wraped up for some time but decided to call it quits. Emmitt is a great back also but he ran behind the best offensive line EVER. Julius Jones is our future. We will see what he's made of come 2 weeks.

Yet another comparison to Emmitt, he gets caught by the secondary on long runs :D

So far though, I like what I see, but time will tell.

You can say what you want. I made my statements on stats. You seem to be good with the search engine, prove me wrong.

The Cowboys have (in recent history) had one of the biggest and best O lines in the NFL. That's why Emmitt got so many yards. Not to take away from THE MAN of course, but there's no way he could have become the league's all time rushing champion without the backs of all those big, dominant mofos.

Right now we have a pretty pathetic line. They aren't opening holes for shit, at least compared to a couple of years ago. And yet he still gets 500+ yards in three games, that is impressive. He's pretty fucking great if you ask me. But he could be a flash in the pan too, especially if he gets another serious injury.

I don't want to see a team built on the RB alone, it's time to step up some other positions. Witten is good, but I don't want him to be our team's leading receiver. And for chrissakes, can we get a decent CORNER? Glad to see the major improvement at RB, but it's time to start our future QB and give Vinny a chance to be a decent backup. Time to work on that O line.

Frankly, the Cowboys don't have a chance against teams like the Eagles, Steelers, and Colts, so I'd like to see em lose all the rest of the games while they play next years' starters, and improve their draft selections. ;)

Just for heck of it I will throw out there that Denver of the mid-to-late '90s had the best line. After all, it is only them that could have 3 or 4 backs rush and still top 1000 yards. Dallas could never do that.
