and you fill out the tech card do you put your address? i had a friend of a friend whos buddy got his car and trailer stolen a year or so back. and the thieves got all the info from a tech card at the track.(how i dont know)but the thieves actually called this guy to sell him his car and trailer back. the owner of the car didnt have a title(race car) so it was hard for the police to step in, and they didnt really have any info where the car was or who had it. but the guy paid 10k to get his own car and trailer back(no motor or tranny cause the guys sold them) so i was just wondering if anyone had thought of this with asome of the race cars being stolen, i dont put my address on there. like anyone would want to steal my car but i was just thinking out loud...any comments?

Hmm Ive never thought of that before. But I usually do, Denton will send you a track schedule of what alls going on if you give them your address. I may not now though.

from what I can remember all I put on there is my name, date, and what car I'm driving. But I will make sure nothing important is on there. Might even start giving the wrong name now ;)

i think the guy just came to that conclusion, cause it happened the same night he had just came back from the races. i think he got back in the am time. he went back outside that next morning to find trailer with car inside gone...

I have before, but not anymore. I am in the military so my social gets tossed around like a screen door in a tornado, but I still don't put it on ANYTHING that the public sees. And I don't put my phone number on anything either, I hate people calling me all the time.

If you put you email addy on some tech cards they will send you schedules and stuff, still trackable but not as easy, Denton does.

I think the social is for when you are racing for money and it has to be reported to the IRS(?). I never fill that out on T&T days and it's always worried me the few times i've had to supply it.
