As far as the National Championship, the BCS system worked and put the 2 best teams in the game. I can't say Texas deserves it anymore than Cal, but we've been screwed before so it feels good to do the screwing. Have fun in the Holiday Bowl Bearsszzzz!

USC/Auburn
Who thinks UT shouldn't be playing in a BCS bowl?
They are the fourth ranked BSC team.
IMHO, Pitt should be replaced with Cal.
Pitt is a joke. They lost to Nebraska and have 5 wins under 5 pts including an overtime win over Furman. WTH is Furman?

Why not have OU in the big game?
I don't know why they just do not have the top eight teams playing in the BCS bowls.
They really need a playoff system but that will never happen.
I don't see how Texas could go ahead of Cal this week. I can see that they didn't play very good against southern miss, but Texas didn't play very well against Kansas. Plus Cal got beat by the #1 team by less of a margin than Texas got beat by OU.

USC/Auburn
You are joking right? It should be OU and Auburn. USC should have lost to several unranked teams. And the only reason they got by UCLA is because the refs blew the call on that fumble that had a 10 point swing in the game. Not to mention the other fumble that they ruled his forward progress was stopped. So if you get hit and are no longer moving forward does that mean if you drop the ball as soon as you get hit, it isn't a fumble? That is how it was called in that game, but I thought the rules were that the player had to be stopped for longer than an instant tackle? Oklahoma is going to walk over USC because of the offensive and defensive lines. That will be the difference in the game, and OU has better on both sides of the ball.

I don't know about walking over USC, it's going to be a pretty good game.

I just meant walking over them meaning by 10 to 14 points, and for this level of a game that is walking on them. I think our line will open up plenty of holes for AD to run through. And our secondary is finally healthy again, so that will make the D a lot stronger. But yes, it will be a hell of a game. I just think OU/Auburn would have been a better one.

I'd rather see Utah and Boise st. :D

I think Pitt in the Fiesta is a joke also.
If not Cal in that game I would have rather seen Louisville.

I definately think it should have been the two best teams from the two bests conferences play in the NC game. That would have been Auburn (SEC) vs. OU (Big 12).
Who else thinks the Pac10 might flop their bowl games? I'm looking for USC, Arizona St, and Cal all to lose.

Oops, I meant to say USC/OU should be in the title game.
I agree with Jason. Peterson is going to win the game for OU.
On Texas/Cal, you can point out data points to support the arguement for either side.
1. Cal would have lost to Oregon if the guy would have caught the ball in the endzone.
2. Cal is in a weaker conference.
Both Texas and Cal belong in the BCS.

HAHAHA! I would like to see Utah play a top 5 team like Cal. After staying undefeated, they at least deserve that! Boise St. should have their hands full with Louisville.

All the teams are right except in the Fiesta Bowl with Utah and Pitt. Neither of those teams deserve to be there, especially Pitt. The #21 team in the nation does not belong in a BCS bowl no matter what conference they won.
Utah doesn't deserve the ranking they have nor the BCS bid because they played absolutely the weakest schedule in the world.
They are still unbeaten though. So you can't say 100 percent anybody is better than them. Even though there are probably better teams, 0 losses is still 0 losses.

I have to disagree. I like Utah in that bowl. They deserve it and they are not half bad. Can't say the same for Pitt though. I agree they should be outta there.
Utah vs. Cal might have been a good matchup.
All in all, I think there are some very nice Bowl Matchups this year. :)
GO AGS!!!

I agree, thats why I would like to see them play Cal. At least give Utah a chance to prove they belong there. Beating Pitt won't prove much, at least not like it would if they beat Cal.

all i know is that the big 12 needs to do a lot better in all their bowls, aka ou, ut, osu, and ttech better win. im tired of people saying the big 12 isnt the strongest conference and then being right.

it's being said on some of the sports shows how a lot of people are mad because a big XII team worked their way into the rose bowl and they all think Cal should be there, but the commentators think it's the best match-up of ANY bowl game, BCS or not.
what do you guys think about the rose bowl not being a match-up of the same 2 conferences again this year? i don't really care, i think it should be the best teams going to the best bowls. BIG XII is the strongest overall conference in the country.

FYI, Cal's top receiver broke his leg in the 4th quarter of the So Miss game.

I think it should of been USC versus Auburn, which would have been a better matchup, but OU should make a game out of it.
