Beetle dyno's 292/329

Guy here at work just dyno'd his 1.8T Beetle. Stock 1.8, stock turbo, 'bolt-ons'.

Put up 292/329. He ran a 8.52 @ 83 with 237/286!

i drove a turbo bettle conv. and it seemed like it had a little pick up and go to it. but i didn't think it would do that kind of time. there fun to drive but not something i could see myself drivin everyday.

He has to be spraying on top of the boost. No way he has put out 292/329 with the factory turbo and no other power adder. It will not and can not happen. My friend put out more HP then any other 1.8T with a IC, ECU upgrade, and downpipe with factory turbo and a boost controller. 253/281 was all it had in it. Billy Talaska has the fastest VW(street car) around the metroplex.

anyways...it could be possible numbers with a chip,exhaust,FMIC,NOS,and hundreds of more dollars.(maybe a newer KO3S)

Yes you are correct , i left my computer loged on at work and he posted up the uncorected #s under my name , it actualy made 284 / 326
and it has a 91 octane apr tune a home made front mount and a 3" down pipe with the help of a 50 shot and for any one wondering it is a stock turbo.

I know of a 1.8T getting a whole slew of mods right now. Before it ran 8.7's on radials in the eighth mile with factory turbo, ecu, ic, downpipe. It should be on the dyno early next week. It now has a T3-T4 turbo, bigger IC, 3" downpipe and exhaust, custom chip, injectors, different fuel system completely, modified intake. It should be a sleeper..... :D Dark Blue 02 Jetta.
