I went to Kdale was going to do some testing with the juice but started tuning the motor to try and find that hesitation that has been so intermittent when running NA. These are now MPH bests and New best since I changed form the 5500 stall to the 4000 stall.
1st pass was a 6.51 @ 104.50 and if nosed over hard so I was like WTF.
So John a friend who was with me I had him under the hood and he said the fuel pressure was only 5 psi idling or reved up but it was 7.5 psi before the run I checked it.
So we bumped the pressure up to 7 and made another pass the car did sputter some not near as bad stile went 6.51 but at 106.20 so we looked at fuel pressure and it was down to 6.5 ad figured it was lower during run.
Bumped it to 8 psi and made a pass. It loaded up on the line and bog but ran a 6.65 with a 1.65 60 and went 106.90 so a crappy run but .70 more mph.
Dropped the fuel pressure from 8 where it still was to 7 and went to make a pass the car lifted the front hard and went very smoth a little hesitation I think but couldnt tell for sure. It went 6.43 @ 107.25 with a 1.48 60.
We tried a NOS pass but the fuel pressure stayed at 15 PSI I believe the cold air cause the diaphram in the regulator to fail so no useful NOS passes. Decided to work on motor passes.
Last two went like this.
Had some tire shudder and it fish tailed a little to felt like I was on juice but I had taken bottle out of car
1.50 60
4.174 330
84.18
6.422 @ 108.10
Drove around and did it again still a little tire shudder and fish tail but not nearl as bad as the last pass.
1.480 60
4.156 330
84.26
6.393 @ 108.22
I honestly believe on a really good track nite simular air it will run 6.2s close to mid 108. This was increadable it is 2 mph faster than its best NA on the fastest list and 2mph more than the run when Orange S10 and I raced.
Needless to say I may be replacing the pump I think after 2 years it is getting sloppy and thats why the pressure kept dropping even after setting it.

I did what I could with a cold track. I know the DA had to be negative. A lot of people ran some new bests in their cars last night. You coming out tonight too?

For the 30-45 minutes after the traction compound is lit it works very well. As long as i can keep enough cars going down it to keep the heat in.

Don't buy a Holley Dominator series. I had 2 of the burn up this year. I decided to take them to a place over here in Dallas and have the armature re-wound. The man that owns the company showed me how cheap the windings are in then. He rewound it for me with top quality materials and then sealed it in varnish and baked it to seal the winding. He said the winding would out last the pump.
