View Full Version : BCS is out. Texas and Cal are very close!

Cal has a slight lead (.8431 to .8418) but will suffer in the computer poll next week after playing So Miss.

Right now, Cal has 5 20s and a 16 in the computer poll. If just one of those 20s slip down to a 19 and the human poll stays the same, Texas pulls ahead and will play Auburn.

I can't believe that those jackasses in the AP actually think that Utah is better than Texas. What a bunch of 'tards. Go ahead and waste a BCS bowl game by putting them in with Auburn and have the score be 70-7. :rolleyes:

Good news though that Georgia jumped Boise St just like I predicted, so with a Cal loss Texas would be pretty much guaranteed a BCS bowl.

i hope it happens (texas jumping ahead, into a BCS bowl game.) It just makes more sense that way. also, it would drop Cal into a lesser bowl game with a lesser opponent and if they happened to get beat, and Utah gets killed (i'm really unsure of what's gonna happen with their bowl game), it would mean DEFINITE changes in the BCS/ playoff arena for next year.

So what happens...I know this is a long shot, but go with me on this. What happens if USC and Auburn BOTH lose this weekend? Would that be enough to drop those two, moving Oklahoma up to number 1 and possibly get Texas past Cal to number 2 for an OU/tu Orange Bowl? I know it has a small chance of happening, but you never know!

no, they're just getting what is coming to them. a smaller bowl game.



and the BCS and NCAA have one year to decide on a better playoff/bowl syestem. the contract with the BCS is up after the '05 season i believe. maybe it's the '06.
