BULL SHIT!!!!!  And NO, that's not a "moral victory" Mr. Dumbass, I mean Hookem, that's a made up rule by the WORST Officiating Crew EVER In NCAA HISTORY!!!!!! But anyway, good game t-sips, good thing you have the officials side to protect the BCS stability!!!!

If the game had been a 1 point game then it would matter but they whipped us good in the 2nd half.

It was a one point safety because an Aggie player picked up the ball then fumbled it into the endzone where it was recovered by A&M. By rule, because the player attempted to return the ball then fumbled it into the endzone, the ball being downed there by the same team results in a one point safety. Definitely not a made up rule, just a rare occurence.

<---Used to officiate high school football

And there was nothing moral about it, UT dominated. A few Aggies sat by me at the game and I was Whooping all night! Whoop!!!!!! Poor Aggggggiesssss.

They even showed the rule on TV if you were watching instead of pouting about 1 point which didn't even decide ANYTHING. Its rule 8-3-1 for your info.

Boy, that McNeal guy sure looked good out there!

No, they posted up the right rule. It clearly stated that if was for point after trys and not 2-pt conversions. Go read the rule. I'm sure its on the NCAA football website or on the net somewhere. Just becuase you've never heard of/seen the rule doesn't mean that it is B/S. Thats your fault for being ignorant and why those refs get paid a pretty decent amount of money to do what they do.

Either way, it is a moot point for Maston to have even posted up about it.

Here it is straight out of the NCAA rule book. I stared the rule in question.

Dumbass, it wasn't a missed FG. They had scored a TD off of a blocked punt and were trying for the extra point. Apparently you didn't watch the game or you would know that. Dusty Mangum hit both of his FG's with a long of 52 yards. He was 2 for 3 on XP's. Check it on Yahoo! Sports if you want to.

Go fuck your self dumbass, IT WAS NOT A 2 PT ATTEMPT. WAS IT??????The rule is posted right there!!!! CAN YOU NOT READ???ou can make a big deal cause I called it a FG instead of XP, SO what. Since it wasnt a 2 pt attempt the call was wrong.

Again, if you knew the rules of football once A&M picked the ball up they could have ran it back for 2-pts. However, they picked the ball up, advanced it, then fumbled it back into their end-zone. Thats why the 2-pt rule applies.

Sure it was! The holder meant to pick up the ball and run for 2pts, but he bobbled the ball. The kicker went to help, but accidently kicked the ball. It was poor execution.

Apparently you missed the part where he kicked the ball, thus making it a failed XP.

If the holder would have not bobbled it/fumbled it then you would be correct. However, that is not the case. As soon as that snap went bad the situation changed.

OK for the last time , yes he boobled the ball but he attempted to place it down where the kicker attempted to kick it and he made contact, why is that so hard for you to admit too????

You can "yeah but he" all day long. If it makes you feel any better, take a point off of the Texas score and see that Texas STILL WON THE GAME!!!

Trust me, I feel your pain in that it sucks to loose to the same hated team 5 years in a row. Maybe next year........

nate- bobble or not, the kicker kicked the ball. failed extra point...end of story.

congrats to UT. They did what they've done all season and made second half adjustments. We got SHUT DOWN in the second half.

I know hookem will call it a moral victory but I still consider our season a success. We've done better than the 6-5 I predicted. Looking forward to the bowl game....I should be there. :) I look for next season to be even better.

Any point after attempt is referred to as a "try", it doesn't matter if you're kicking an extra point, going for two, or punting the ball into the crowd. The rule I posted above applies to the try.

aggs really can't bitch about the game. The game should have been 33 - 6 if vince young wouldn't have had that dumb ass move when he tried to go over the top. Texas D owned a&m's offense and held them to only 6 points. The other 7 they scored was a direct result of a bonehead move.

ok, what's so confussing about the 1point??

ut tried an extra point, technically it was blocked and that is NOT a dead ball, which then a&m could've picked it up and returned it for 2points. BUT as we all saw somebody picked it up and then lost it into the endzone and then was tackled for the 1 point safety.

i think some of yall are thinking it was a dead ball was it was touched.

either way, that was interesting.

uh, there was no block. bobble snap, the kicker kicked it, the ball touched the ground before any aggie player touched it, missed extra point, dead ball, end of story.

it wasnt a dead ball because silly aggy tried to advance it.

This game may have been decided by 13 points on the scoreboard, but it was a blow out on the field. 31 YARDS RUSHING. 8 SACKS. T.O.P. was HEAVILY in TX favor....new year, same old story. Yea...it was alllll the officiating.

Was this yr a great success?

Any season that involves a big ol L to BAYLOR can not be viewed as a success.

It was blocked, just by the same team. All because the ball hits the ground after a PAT, does not mean it's a dead ball. By rule, since the ball was blocked and it crossed the line of scrimage BUT did not enter the endzone, Team B (Aggies) are able to return it. He tried to return it, fumbled, recovered in endzone, 1 point safety.

this whining and complaining about one point that doesn't matter is so very entertaining to me

Boss Hogg

How come no one is complaining about officials when the ball that hit the ground was ruled an aggie catch on A&Ms 1st series of downs OR when Cedric crossed the goalline and they said he didn't score?

Also, rumor has it that there is a picture which clearly shows that Young crossed the goalline before it was slapped out of his hand.

This year was definately a success. Only people that seem to care about the Baylor loss are the Tsips. It really didn't bother me much. Bottom line is we went 4-8 last year, 7-4 this year (not counting the bowl game), and should do even better next year. We are on the rise in my opinion and Fran has things on the right track. I wish I could say Texas is on the rise. I think next year is going to be tough for the horns.

I give up on the 1 point play. It didn't matter anyways.

Rule 8-3-1 is certainly not made up.
Whatever.
You got owned. Your "Heisman candidate" got blown the F up....you ran for 29 whole yards....and now there are rumblings the Holiday wants Tech, not you.....
Sore losers suck.

It's too bad, because the Ags had a good season, even though the BU loss puts a big * on that "pretty good."

Your fellow Ags have nothing but gracious, before and after.
You sir, are a tool, and you got what you deserve.
