I just got the game today as well, I played the open beta and it was pretty bad ass. I wouldn't say that it is the best MMORPG ever though, Asherons Call will probably never be topped when it comes to MMORPGs at least as far as PvP goes.

give it a couple of weeks and see what the pvp turns out like...I know on archimonde there are several powerful guils on both sides and should make it interesting...

I got mine at Frys but I have also seen it available at Compusa and at Walmart.

i played the open beta, as did my g/f, and she is hooked. I thought it was alright, but I am not about to pay $15-$20 a month just to play it.

I played star wars galaxies and City of Heroes and finally figured out that paying money every month to play a game is retarded. The only good thing is the constant updates.

I don't think that paying $15/month to play a game you like is retarded. I look at it this way, If I play the game on the average for 3 hours per day and maybe play 5 days out of the week that is 15 hours per week or roughly 60 hours per month. At $15/month that breaks down to $0.25 per hour, that is pretty cheap entertainment. :D

Hell going to a movie costs anywhere from $5.50 - $8.50 not including any snacks or drinks you buy there (if you do) and that is only 2 hours of entertainment.

I guess it all just depends on how you look at it and whether or not you want to justify spending the money .

well seriously ...15 bucks is not alot per month ..I know eveyrone of us spends 15 bucks a month on somthing that would be pointless to another......aka movies or beer(which I spend way more then 15 bucks on a month), Car parts, takin girls out, strip clubs ..etc etc etc...so in reality 15 bucks really is not alot for a whole month of entertainment

i'm sorry but you can't beat FFXI :D

and i should get out more cause i play it normally from 8or9pm till 1am... and on weekends if I don't have shit to do well lets just say I don't get off the couch....

now if they had WoW on ps2 so I wouldn't have to sit in the office all night or day well i might play it... but have no problem at all paying a monthly fee to play a game... when they update it and the support is insane...

If I get a laptop in the future i may consider playing both... but i'm so fari n FFXI right now I couldn't bare stop anytime soon :D

From what I hear, the people who have both think WoW is much better. I wouldn't know though, never even seen FFXI.

I've heard the game play is a little better then FFXI. But the WoW economy is not as complex as the FFXI economy.

thats is what i have been told and read... I think that unless they update that it will be something that people will run out of things todo pretty fast... the only think i really hate about ffxi is the fact that you have to run 30 min just to get somewhere :D

Lol, if you want to run across the WoW map, expect to invest even more time. Luckily they have flying beasts you can ride.

The best parts of WoW are yet to come. Blizzard has not yet implemented the war conflicts where massive battles will go down between the Alliance and the Horde.
