Pacers are FUCKED! I assume the can pick up players on "waivers" like Football? Im not too familiar with how Basketball does it.
Well at least Fartest will have more time to promote his rap album :)

I truely believe that an offense like that, hitting a fan (or multiple in this case) should mean BANISHMENT from the sport FOR LIFE.
They ban Pete Rose for gambling, but these guys start riots and they aren't banned for life? WTF?

i think banning for life is very harsh. i don't think ron artest should be banned for any more than he has already been banned for. was he wrong ? yes. should he be punished ? yes. but what if it wasn't a beer that was thrown ? what if it was something that could have really hurt artest ? i think the fans should be held at least as accountable as artest in this situation. the refs had the situation under control and it was the fans, not artest, that forced an escalation of the situation. he made a bad judgment call, but he was provoked.

Artest is not good for the nba, just as terrel owens isnt for the nfl. they both promote violence with their antics, talking trash constantly. he deserves every bit of that 70 odd game suspension and alot more. david stern said it clearly, if the track record was not so long then the suspension would not have been so bad. that fat dude did get hit pretty hard by o'neil though!

Anyone else think that we'll start seeing something to seperate the fans from the court in the NBA? Think about it, it's the only sport left where there's nothing seperating the fans from the playing surface. And now we see what it causes, security problems.
, just as terrel owens isnt for the nfl.
you've got to be kidding me. He's very cocky, but I would be too if I was that damn good.

t.o. isn't exactly the best role model from an attitude standpoint, but he is definitely one of the best in the world at what he does. period. he himself said it best, "if you don't want to see me dance and celebrate, keep me out of the end zone." i think this type of thing is good for sports as far as generating money. if we didn't have "bad guys", how would we know who the good guys are ?

you are an idiot name one time T.O. has promoted violence. you can't. he likes to taunt, and he has the right to. and you know what is sad is that when I was growing up if you were better you could taunt as long as you didn't get in their face and do it.
artest is a thug no arguement from me on that, and I think he should be banned for life as well. he went after a guy who had a cup in his hand so we know it wasn't him that threw the cup. he went after the smallest person he could find. he is a coward not only for the fan he hit but for the foul as well.

well that opinion comes from the way he acted in san fran. you dont call your qb a faggot, and you sure as hell dont disrespect your coach like that. i just see him as a selfish baby, yeah hes leading the league in yards, but i can guarantee you 10 years from now we will not look at him in the same light as jerry rice or tim brown.
you dont call your qb a faggot,
Well he might have a point there.
