I just wanted to know if there is any way that you can lower the front of the bike without useing straps. The whole idea of straping the forks down sounded kinda ghetto and unsafe let me know if there is.

yes, on bikes with inverted forks, you can slide the forks up through the triple clamps.

It should be noted that small adjustments make BIG differences in the geometry of the bike. This can very quickly change handling charactaristics for the worse. Be careful and make sure you know where you start, so if you don't like it you can go back to stock.

straps are used mainly for drag racing, you don't normally drive around with the front end strapped all the way.

I have both my bikes lowered. Have had them done since I got it. Just use a good measuring device and then tighten everything back up good. If they are off just a little they will cause headshake and believe me you do not want that. Here is a pic of my lowered ZX10R. My R1 is also lowered.

you can modify forks internally to lower them without the clamps or straps. My 60 inch has 1000 forks on a busa and they are slammed no strap. Internally modified
