Any way to get it for lower than that? Is there an invoice price or something that we can possibly get these things at? Figured I'd ask :)

Thanks

there is about 1500$ profit in most sportbikes at MSRP, so take aim, and hit em in the knees on your offer, but be prepared to hear alot of "no"

if you must have a BRAND NEW bike, thats cool, but as far as japanese bikes go, you can be rolling a low mile, like new ( 99.999% as good as new) bike for a good bit less.

My 2004 R1 thats for sale comes to mind :)

I'd love an R1 but I don't think I am there yet. I've got my eyes set on the R6 or the new 600RR by Honda. I took the riders course 2 weeks ago and got my license. Besides for that class I don't have any riding experience. I'm stuck trying to decide on buying the bike I want and learning on it or buying a older bike then upgrading.

Go to a small city dealership. Damn suzuki at 635 and 35 wanted $8499 for a piece of crap SV1000S with bad swirl marks on it (would have needed a repaint..plastic windscreen also had swirl marks in it). Said they wouldnt go down on the price at all. I said well shit, if you cant take care of the paint, how can you take care of the rest of the bike? Needless to say I'm never spending any money there. Check out Southwest Superbikes. they have some good stock at reasonable prices (none is new). Only dealership I had any luck with in dallas was Harley (go down to $7499 for an 04 Buell Firebolt XB12R. However, they required full coverage insurance, which was not cool. (damn $4000 a year) So, in the mean time, I'm looking for an old cruiser I can build into something cool to ride around on until I find a bad ass deal on a used sportbike.

If you are looking for a Kawasaki check out Universal on Irving Blvd. They had a good selection at good prices. Most of there drive out prices including TT&L were cheaper than MSRP.They may go down from there but it gives you a starting point.

Thanks for all the info. I've checked out a few places but haven't found what I'm looking for.
