I think I have held that 9mm and my HK is a bit thicker. This is not an easy pistol to conceal. Under a jacket would be no problem.

im not worried so much about thicker, as i am length...im 6'4 so the thickness wouldnt be too bad to deal with..my problem is my shirts dont cover the end of my barrell because im so tall(unless i buy a 2XL and then the shirt totally swallows me so that dont work)
EDIT...is this the gun you have http://www.hecklerkoch-usa.com/handguns/uspcompact.html
if so looks like yours and my9mm are the same length and thickness...only diff is yours holds 8 .45 and mine has 10 9mm..

What kind of a trade deal are you looking for? I have a Kel-Tec 9mm brand new, zero round fired. This was my concealed weapon, hence zero rounds. Paid around $300.

No way it would be smaller. It will be slightly thicker and defintely heavier (bigger frame and bullets equal more weight). With the proper holster and belt this would make a good concealed carry gun.
Robert, does it have "night" sights?

Jose, Glad you reminded me. It has night sights and a spare set of regular sights :)
Roscoe, I think that I am going to go with a straight sale rather than a trade at this point.
I am not sure about the Navy Seals...

what would be a good holster for my 9mm then...its basically the same size as this gun, but my holster is for my hip and it doesnt do a very good job of concealing. i got it at academy. its the black vinly looking holster that holds the spare clip as well

As far as what I've read, Sig's are standard issue but I'm sure there is a lot of freedom on choice of pistols to carry. Shouldn't matter, the H&K is on par with the same Quality as Sig and Glocks.

I've had very good luck with Comp-Tac (http://www.comp-tac.com/) holsters.

The SOCOM is a recent addition (last few years). They've used the Sig for several years as well as other weapons as the mission dictates.

We worked with a few SEAL's when I was in Kuwait, they carried Sig P239's (I believe) 9mm at the time, I know for a fact it was a Sig though. This was in 1998.
I read up on the SOCOM HK, that is one bad mf'er!!

why wont you sell it to someone under 21?? Im looking to get my CHL and a new compact for my 21st (April)... I have had guns all my life and have a couple pistols and 3 rifles.
Personal sales it doesnt matter how old you are. You can own a pistol at 2 years old, you just cant buy one from a store

Legalities, I wont sell to anyone under 21 either. Youngsters are retarded and think it cool to pack and Im not going to feed that. Even though Im not much older that 21 Im still nto doing it. I dont blame him for his perspective on that issue.
**EDIT** BUT I will say if your only a couple weeks to 21 then we could talk but any 17 year old back off.

It matters to me. That is why I won't sell to someone who is under 21. When I sold my blown GT, I refused to sell to a couple of younger folks because I knew the car would get wrapped around a pole if I had sold it to them. Same principle.
But I see your point. I am changing my policy. I will sell to anyone under 21 who wants it. All they have to do is bring a parent or legal guardian to witness the transaction.

it is illegal to sell that gun to any one that is under 21 cause u have to get thier into and turn it into the ATF i believe that way u have nothing to do with the gun and if some reson so kid decides that he is going to bust a kapp in someones ass ur totally resonsible

wtf are you talking about? Its a private sale, you dont turn in anything to the ATF. The gun becomes unregistered and in someone else's posession. You dont legally have to turn in paperwork unless you are a business. I can go out and buy a full auto machine gun and be 13 but I cant carry one or buy one from a store unless you have a Class 3 or 5 lisence (whatever it is)
Walmart wont sell a rifle to anyone under 21 to cover their ass, but Texas state law says there is no age limit to buy a rifle. A handgun must be purchased by an adult 21 or over from a store or gunshow. I can buy a .50 cal desert eagle at a garage sale if I wanted to

Um you cant buy a full auto class III weapon from private seller legally. They HAVE to be reported to ATF from what I have always been told. If an ATF agent enters your house and see's a M4 sitting on your couch and you dont have a class III liscense then you are looking at some fines/time. But your pretty much correct on all your other info.
PeeWeeC5
12-22-2004, 09:06 PM
Correct, the only way you can buy a full auto weapon LEGALLY is to hold a class III lic. That doesn't mean you cant find someone that will sell it to you though. I would HIGHLY suggest not getting caught with it though because you WILL have some explaining to to do, it WILL get confiscated, and as a first time offense you will PROBABLY just see some fines.

look dont get ur panties in a waud i have sold a gun that ended up getting stolen and it came back to me when it was found in a car that had been used in a police chase... everytime i sell a gun now i call the atf and let them know that it has been sold and that i dont have it anymore and that is what u are suppose to do. and if u sell a gun to someone that isnt 21 or older and they commit a crime with it u will be held fully responsible but then again u know what ur talking about ... so dont be such a dick i was just saying

When buying any type of firearm in Texas from a store, you have to be 18 y/o to buy any long rifle, or shotgun. and 21y/o to buy a hand gun. A private seller at his own discretion can sell to someone uder the age limit, but in the Texas CCP he will be held liable. As far as the ATF, when you fill out the yellow form for the ATF when buying a firearm, they do not ask for the gun model, or serial number. They just want to know if it is a long rifle, shotgun, or a pistol. They do not know who has what gun, unless you fill out a different form, registering that firearm in your name.
