Yamaha R6 Riders > Insurance?

Where are you getting your insurance and what do you pay? Progressive has been the cheapest that I've found so far. Dairyland wanted $2300 a year for a 2000 R6! :eek:

Sounds like a pretty reasonable rate. Think I'm switching my insurance from AllState.

I'm paying 75.00/ year for Liability on the ZX10, I think the R6 was the same......can't rememeber it being to much different. If you don't have full coverage make sure you have a garage to lock it up in, lot of thefts lately...... ;)

i pay 3500 a year for full coverage, gap, and theft. Thru a place called foremost insurance, i ride an 04 gsxr. Its a lot for insurance but compared to some places its half as cheap.

I think that is still crazy though. Insurance companies know they have you by the nads and there is nothing that you can do

I just played the insurance shopping game for my new 04 r1, STATE FARM ended up being a good bit cheaper than anyone else I shopped.

I've got liab at 100/300/100, unisured/underinsured, pip, and comprehensive (specfied cause of loss) w/ no deduct.; that covers theft. Maybe some other stuff, but thats about it, and its an even $400/6months.

Way I look at it, if I were to crash the bike up good and it we're still fixable, I'd be tricking it out quite a bit, so the collision insurance donesn't appeal to me. That and its like 3500+ or so a year just for that. Theft is my greatest concern as far as insurance coverage.
