you need HD springs
I don't think so, I probably have at least 100 passes on this clutch as well....I just need to stop going so much and just ride it till I decide what to do.

I have talked to people that have them and heard stories. I would rather just replace the clutch every 100 or so passes, that's alot of passes if you ask me.

what stories. what damage could a heavier spring do besides help clutch longevity and increase on track HP. LOL 100 passes is ok, but not when your going 1.6 60fts....

The Zx10 has a slipper clutch designed to not upset the bike when downshifting for a turn......for racing turning corners.
But there I go telling you what Kawasaki made your bike for.
ROTFL..............Sorry, I'm just jerking with ya Rich. Don't be mad sweetie.

Im not worried cause you know nothing of the fact that my bike has had that part welded, yes it was sent to Chip Ellis and Colby Adams took care of the slipper clutch, wich by the way is not a true slipper clutch as that would make my bike very expensive........so continue to think your the smart one. It's called modding for your purpose, but then again having a car that won't start , you'd probably know nothing about that. ;)
Im not mad, I take into account that you talk more than you read......... ;)

You might be right, the entire set-up was sent to him, Ask Stacey who did it, and what they did...... he's the one that sent it up. :)

you got a clutch mod ok
Not to get off the clutch talk, but it was a pretty fun race on sunday.
It was a Harley association that put the race on, but the "Metric bikes" as the H-D guys like to say, outnumbered them about three to one.
One of those high gear Nitro Harleys picked a match race with me. It didnt work out to good for him.
I was on my little tire bike and I beat him about two bus lengths....
It was fun. I had never been "Boo-ed" before.(that I know of) ;)

Nitro.... I dont need no stinkin Nitro!
That was the loudest f-ing motorcycle I ever raced against!

I swear, He picked me..
I had been running my throttle stop all day and I think he saw a clean bike "Jap" he thought he could beat.
He saw small tire... he saw no nitrous.... he figured "win light".
I turned the stop off and pissed off a lot of hard core harley guys. :(
As Benji likes to say...Next!

hey what was the fastest times out there
NayNay

I went to ennis last weekend, and ran like a 2
hey what was the fastest times out there
Keith (Magic) went a 4.92. That was the fastest.
The big boy Nitro bikes  went from 4.95 to 5.20.
The high gear nirto harley I raced.... well I only ran a 5.48 and like I said he was a couple of greyhounds back..
Of the streetbike types, I saw some low 6's.Thats about it. Unless you count Larry's outlaw bike. He went a 5.40-something.
Of the Harley streetbikes, I think mid-sevens was as fast as I saw.
Doubting me Nay?

Can you imagine how upset those fuel boys would be if a no-bar bike busted them?
I saw where Barry had qualified with a 7.31....
Where are you finding those 1/8 mile #s?
4.82
Thats insane. I knew they would be fast in Gainsville.
I wish I would have gone.

they come from the source. They dont post that stuff on the net. I heard stoll went 3.31 in the 1/8th on the 4.95 7.47 pass, 1.25 60ft. Hell kent and barry went 7.25 @ 200 in gville
1.20 shortys.... 200.49 MPH. They both went 7.25 didnt they?
I love it! :D
I gotta get to a Pro-Star race next year. Maybe Memphis.
You getting any closer with your bike?

I just kept going back and looking at it.
Maybe I'll win the Lotto.....

and he keeps telling me, some day he will put in a modified motor...
thats a stock busa engine in there...
i just razz him to paint the dang thing
Announcing him as "Ben Brown on the Experimental Bike"
Hell, they are all experimental arent they??
Very impressive for a stock motor. Ben aint a small guy. I bet it would run deep in the 5's with a lighter rider.
6-4 260 isnt exactly jockey material...
Where you on a bike?
