DALLAS CAR CLUBS AT DENTON 11/5/04

This Friday we'll have a great opportunity to bring together Dallas/ Ft Worth car clubs and forums and bring some competition along with us.
Unexperienced and pros are welcome to join us to mingle and create a big melting pot of people and cars of all calibers at the Denton Dragway in Denton,TX this Friday on the 5th of November which we will meet up in Frisco which is just north of Plano.

15+ car club and forums will be invited to this event including the following:

everyone and anyone is welcome, even if your not a member of an organization listed above we would still love to see the support of the public for our local car clubs, bring your friends and family too!

ok so here's the itinerary...
7 pm, by RSVP only, whoever would like to meet for dinner, we will attend Hooters in Frisco off of Preston (SH289) at approximately 7 pm, sit down, relax, have some wings and we'll be ready to race

at 8-8:30 PM we will meet in the back of the Sears parking lot at Stonebriar mall right off of 121 and Preston Rd. to procede down to the Denton 1/8th mile track taking 121 to 35 leaving no later than 8:30

track rates:
before 10 pm= $10 entry per person $5 tech card (to race)
after 10 pm= $10 entry and tech card

-we will arrive at the track around 9pm, so if you would like to save money, you can pay your $10 entry fee then at 10 pm go get your free tech card-

no i freakin sat there for 55 mins and my car cooled down so i broke out first pass. Plus it was the first time on 4.10's going from 3.27's. I know there are some ricers out there that can bust my ass but i'd like to get traction with my et streets tomorrow with such a nice d/a.

bikes r very much welcome, i was actually trying to get some more bikes to go and can roll in the front with me for safety purposes, bring your friends

i drive an import but dont assume im a ricer lol, one of my friends that might attend drives a 10 second eclipse with a 04 cobra as his daily driver (he actually might be on these boards). u will definately have the group of fast cars and the group of slow cars wherever you go, my car is a show car and is very slow right now, but im hoping to push at least 400 to the ground this upcoming year, as a daily driven 4 cylinder 420a (na neon motor)

Damn dude that sux and is amazing at the same time. Track usually dont hook for shit unless the big boys are there and they actually put some damn VHT down. We went by about 9:30 and talked to 2 guys in a 03-04 cobra. Was NOONE there so we split and went to the bar :D Was the turn out a little better later on in the night?

i was happy with the no turn out got to make my first two passes by just driving up to the staging lanes...track was ok...third pass my tires hooked really nice for about 2 ft... :eek:
