I have a 50 amp rectifier, filter pump, and heater for a 42 gallon tank and gold bath that can 24K gold plate anything from jewelry to 22" wheels. :) I've figured that the bath should have anywhere from 7-9 OUNCES OF GOLD IN IT. A few minutes ago, gold was at $422 per ounce!

I'm asking $5000 for all the equipment and the gold bath, which should have at least $3000 worth of gold in it. Plus, I'll show you how to do it - and when to add what, chemically, to the bath to maintain it. That took me two years to nail down. Noone in the plating business wants anyone else to be, so I had to learn on my own... I've plated with this same bath for over 8 years and had it analyzed once a month. I figure I've done around $500,000 worth of plating in that time through it. 80% of it wheels, which has slowed down alot, but the demand for plating automotive pieces and jewelry is still very high.

Interesting stuff... If I had the coin I would be all over it. I would be more in the market to do chrome.... Is it the same or completely different?

Chrome is a WHOLE new ballgame... Much more restricted chemicals, etc. Cheaper to do overall, but also much more labor intensive - ie polishing...
