I don't know how many of you have seen the latest MM & FF for this month, but there is a car in there that I had to flame on....This is a "Pro Street" 03 Cobra with a Kenne-Bell blower in place of the roots. The car has been tubbed with a 4 link. It sits like a friggin pro 5.0 car and has the parachute, etc. to look the part. There was a comment that it shows as well as goes....with a best of 11.40 @ 127 or so...

Cmon, I'd be embarrassed to admit I had a tubbed, built car like this and that's as good as it goes....Not to mention speaking of 2.0X 60' times....Who the hell did the suspension?? I've seen some 03's deep into the 11's on the roots alone and smallish drag radials. The parachute is an absolute joke, seeing as he is 20+ mph from actually needing one. I bet there is a waiting list to get a piece of this car at the track. 1/2 the cars on this site could run with it or blow by it... A total joke IMHO...... :rolleyes: This guy couldn't even crack our top 20 list! Anybody else see this car?

Yea it was at Fun Ford parked next to Nicole's 93 in the car show. Bad ass looking car, but when I saw the article about how slow it was, it was pretty silly. I think the gearing is too tall for those monster tires. He needed to drop it a lil more gear and help turn those meats. They are street tires though too, not slicks, so even if they are big, I doubt they would hook with too much launch at them. :confused:

Lack of gearing would make sense.- Yes they were street tires, but cmon, they would have to be at least 13" wide (315mm). I don't know if they mentioned it was spinning or bogging......, so who knows. Regardless, that is nowhere near enough motor (in it's current configuration) to justify the suspension.....Not to mention cutting up the car....which is a separate issue.
