Trip to the gut Sunday almost very costly,Dons blue IROC was broken into & nearly stolen by someone.Don was 200ft away helping someone with their car & we noticed the dome light on just as it got dark, someone alerted Don that someone was messing with his car & walked off.We found the stering coloum broken,if anyone out there saw anyone messing around with the car let us know,we will keep it discrete!!! Will probably be last trip to the belly for us!

i mean it sux. but i think it would be pretty easy to catch someone in a prostreet car. i mean i really dont think it would be that tough to catch them. hell you could hear the car for a mile. and how far down the highway can they actually get?

just about as fast as you, but 1000 lbs heavier, and 40 cubes less.... so it would be pretty hard for most to catch. especially people from tha gut

thanks slowpony for explaining it for me. cause i was a little confused and acemanturbo thought i was hating on his buddies. so yes i could see where it would be quite bad to have that happed to someone at the track. i guess i should never go to the gut.

i agree with casper306.
i was out there this past sunday. It was my first and last time to go on a sunday. There were toooo many people and sooooo little, i mean no organization whatsoever. It took me 2 full hours (yeah, 2 hrs. its not a typo) to get one run in. People kept cutting and the bikes would all of a sudden start racing for a long time. I understand if you were waiting in line, but these guys would just pull their bikes around to the front and go through the gates and into line. The security that was supposed to be controlling everything wasn't doing a damn thing but making it worse. The track is also poorly mantained. Right before i got that 2 hr wait run in, a nova lost control halfway down the track and went from one wall to the other. Also, everyone was getting too worked up and just stupid. A lot of them would even just park and block others from being able to pass and race. The belly is horrible.
sorry, but i didn't see anyone messing with Dons blue IROC. can't help you with figuring out who it was.

Dons car does not weigh 3900 lbs. And it is a 383 so that is only 27 cubes smaller, and has a decent shot of squeeze on it. Dont get the facts twisted.

Yellowbelly has been a joke for as long as I can remember. Your safer if you street race in a crowded school zone then deal with the bullshit at Yellowbelly. There is a reason Dallas, nor Grand Prairie want that land.

LMAO.....You gotta be pretty desperate for some action to take it to the gut.....I think it's the only track around where the jewelry of choice is a court mandated ankle bracelet.....

I only raced at the Gut about three times. That was enough for me.

Although someone could buy that place, turn it into a real track and make a fuckin killing.

I agree. Location, location, location.

For the first year though you'd need a serious security budget to get the point across that the crap has stopped.

LOL, yeah the gut is ghetto and but its still pretty fun out there and Im just a little white guy :D I used to run the turbo rail out there and it seemed like I could run as much as I wanted with little to no wait but yes, they are VERY bike friendly and those fuckers will cut in front every chance they get and that is why I stopped going. I only live 5 minutes from 'dale but the long line suck ass so that is one plus to the gut. I agree with some decent security, a couple 50mm gatlin guns and a little patience that place could make some real money and get a better reputation for itself. Of course the whole timing setup would have to be re-done considering it is a coupld 1/10's slow.

Man that sucks. I was also there Sunday. Have never had a problem at yellowbelly. After you came up and told me to keep an eye out, I kept looking over there but never saw anybody go up to it. You need to put a steering column lock cover around it. That way they can't break it down. Your very lucky that you still have it. Hope you learned from this. I know I have, I'll be very careful next time I go.
