Well took her out to K-dale tonight to see how she would run on some different tires. Well since I have 3.55 gears in it and I have been running with 28" tires wanted to see how 26's would do. First pass (and only pass :D), the car came out spinning alittle and went pretty good and then all of a sudden BOOM BITCH, car died and somthing hit the bottom end of the car. At the times I wasn't for sure what it was, but I did see the belts go flying.
Bill went and picked up my missing parts ;) , the ole haramonic (balancer and crank pulley) shearded right off the crank. I guess the belt was alittle tight :D. There goes that motor. Oh it still ran a 7.4
Its time for a a turbo now  , not for sure on how long it will be till I'm up and running, but I'm thinking for awile. I will post up a pic later on tonight. Anbd more pics once we get it broken down to see if it damage anything else.
Brandon
p.s Sorry Mike for making a mess :D , and thanks Bill for picking up my missing parts.

Damn, that sucks! Your car should be a beast with a turbo as light as your car is. Good luck and let me know if you need some turbo help!

Thanks guys, it does suck big time but we knew it wasn't going to stay together forever. Man I was really looking forward the cruise and running against some of yall. Looks like I will be there watching yall run them.
Brooks and Kirk when I get ready I will be hitting yall up alot :D. But not for sure on how long its going to be and not for sure yet on what to go with either. Casue the plan was to build up the Dart stroker motor next year, but taking a hit like this I'm not for sure now. We are just hoping the heads are alright, and we are thinking they are fine. But we will see as we tear it down.

well just got through looking under it, messed up the h-pipe, smack the case of the tranny (hopefully its not hurt), and it smack a couple of other things. Need to get it on a lift to really see.
But here are a few pics, of what fell off :D And for the interior pic, well notice the pod. It hit so hard it through it off  , that was alittle weird.

Was that a stock crank or what kind? I am not even sure what your combo was. Strocker, stock, or what. That sucks though!

Wow! A nice clean break! I've done that once. Uh, I mean twice. I say keep the S-trim and save your money for a Dart block and put the Vortech back on there. Then start saving for a turbo once you get a bullit proof short block. At least that way you can get back in the game a little bit quicker.

I think Brandon's uncle told me a while back that it was a stock "Exploder" shortblock. Damn thing held up pretty damn well..........for a while.

Yea...........it was a clean break. You couldn't see any signs of "old" stress fractures. Too bad the cam gear came off too.......seems like it broke at the top of second. Brandon will be VERY lucky if valves and pistons didn't kiss and make whoopie! :( :(

yea like Bill said a stock 98 Exloder short block
Combo was TFS track heat heads (unported), B-31 (AFM cam), Holley SysteMax2 intake, 42lb injectors, 80 pro M, Vortech S-trim seeing about 12psi, Mike's AOD :D last dyno was 454hp and 470tq (that was just last week)
It happen right when I shifted into 3rd.
And Bill that is my dad that goes out there with me. ;)

not a bad idea. But more than likely the S-trim money will go toward the block. I will prolly get it up and going on motor and then later put the turbo no it. But it will be built for boost :D and lots of it ;)

:D , hopefully when I get my new combo I will be able to run with you on the nitrous. But hell thats going to be along time from now, never know you might have something big and better :(

lmao, shit me and my dad were laughing about it. Heck the ole electric winch took a shit on me to pulling the car up. Well it started to work again and I got behind the car and pushed on it alittle to help it out. Just barely got it up there:D. But thats what I get for buying a 2000lb winch ( $50 at Habor Freight) and using it to move a 3000lb car up a nice incline :D
That's blows... Good luck with the turbo! :)
