I'm sure it'll all come out in the wash eventually; we are all speculating here on what really happened.

Still, if you're a married person getting emotionally close to someone in the office is a recipe for disaster. Hell, if you're a man just saying anything to a female in the office that's not strictly business can get you a harassment lawsuit these days.
