damn it, had a good summary for you but we lost power. Any way, summarized. Do you want simulation or arcardish type games? Steering wheel and Pedals and lots of time are best for the sim type games.
My recommendations...
Need for speed stuff
Papyrus Nascar games
I just bought EA Sports "Nascar Thunder 2004" for 9.99 and hate it. Granted, I don't have the steering or pedals, but the game just kind of sucks. I enjoyed the old Papyrus Sierra games better.

I don't like any of the Need For Speed series, and also not "TOO" fond of the nascar series, but will check it out...
I was thinking more along the lines of like Toca 3 race driver or and motoGP games..

Not a big bike guy, but here nothing but good about the motoGP stuff. Play the first Toca and loved it...but did not finish it.
Wish they had Gran Turismo for the PC> :)

omg that would fucking rock!!!
GT3 for the PC, damn!!!Imagine the mod possibilities (sp)
any car we want!!!old foxes, 03 cobras, DAMN!!!
Formula One Grand Prix 4 is still the best racing game out there. IMO much better than the arcade style games like Gran Turismo's and NFS's. I haven't yet tried Colin McRae Rally 4 but that should be the game if you want out of the tarmac and into gravel.
TOCA racedriver is another decent game.

Actually Juiced is "all right" I like the fact that they have American Cars, but toca 3 race driver I think it the best so far.

Hey Roliath,
Dunno if you tried Need for Speed: Underground, but it is damned fun believe it or not. I just got it and ended up playing it for 3 hours after being up for over 36 hours. I did not want to sleep, but my head hurt. :)
No 'Stangs or anything, but fun nonetheless. Again, not sure if you were looking for simulation or arcade type racing, but if your more intrested in arcade, give this game a shot man.
Take care

Thanks alot for the Heads Up...But I already got it..It's FUN, that's true!!
I think I'm just going to keep playing GT3 until 4 comes out...
Also if you like NFS:U, try Juiced...It's sorta the same concept as NFSU but they have domestics on it also..

Cool, tried to check out Juiced, but I am limited to ebgames.com since I am on a military base.....hmmm...wonder if best buy or circuit city has it. I could not even look at reviews since gaming sites are blocked
When you say domestics....Mustangs?
Thanks

gran turismo 3 is one of the most realistic racing games their are...dont know where you get the acrade style at....

to me...no damage model, no damage penalties, no damage repair costs = arcade style gaming right off the bat.
I don't consider washing the car any sort of damage...or changing the oil as in GT3.
Take care

the damage is the only arcady part of the game, no other game has more realistic driving. the next one is gonna be much better with the damage. when you hit a wall your vision will blur depending on the speed is how bad the blur will be. not sure if it will effect your cars handling after that or not

You looking for "driving" or "racing"?
I race a Trans Am mod in NR2003, and a variety of mods on EA's F-1C base, including the F-1 series.
Coming in late Fall, early Winter is GTR (http://www.gtr-game.com/)
I've driven the press demo, and it will hands down be the greatest racing simulation game ever built.

what are some good Nascar Games?

F1GP4 is still the game if you're looking for realistic driving, no other game comes even close. I felt GT3 was quite poor in that regards, could have been the settings although my friend said he had them all correct.

EA F-1 Challenge
GTR
Both great from a physics standpoint, and the EA game has a ton of mods with various levels of quality so you aren't driving just open wheel racers..
Nascar Racing 2003, great physics, and some nice mods (Trans Am, etc)..
GTR- hands down will be the greatest, seriously.. Drive the Press Demo, you'll agree.

I gave up on EA's F1 series after the 2002 version. They sucked big time. Nice graphics at the time but the game itself was horrible, just like their earlier versions. Any links to GTR? The name sounds good, that's for sure. :)

I downloaded the demo, and that game is awsome. It's alot better than anything I've played latley, you almost need a steering wheel for it.

I'll see if I can get use of a camera.
The new ones out right now look similar but mine is just black and grey no red. The wheel clamps to a desk and the pedals just sit on the floor.
