Trying to get into video editing and would like advice as to which program is the best to use for a newbie. I will be capturing analog video and audio via my video capture card. I'd like to be able to add music, play with the audio on both left and right channels, add text overlays, etc.
How about instructions for burning the results to a DVD?
TIA.
Good starter software is Pinnacle Studio. I am using Adobe Premier to edit videos and Pinnacle to author DVD's.

Thanks for the input. Will Pinnacle do it all? Why do you use both programs?

Pinnacle had a lot of problems when editing the video, Adobe is quite stable and has more features.

So with Adobe Premier, can I import the video using that software instead of crappy tools that my video conference card came with? Or do I import it first and then open it in Premier for editing?
Thanks for the input!
