From what ive heard its not a good idea to get a nice bike as your first.
What was your first bike and how much did you pay for it?
TIA
I really like the gsxr 600s or maybe a F4i. Just trying to get a feel before i buy. :)

My 1st was a 94 CBR 600 paid 2k for it because of some minor rash on it.... Excellent bike for the money and a good choice to learn on... its looks alot better than something like a ninja 250 and has decent enough power with out being overkill so you can make a jump later to a bigger newer bike without killing yourself with all the new found power.... you can find f4i's around in good condition for around 4k- 4500 just shop around and talk people down a little....

my first was a 95 Katana 750 picked it up for $1000 and it needed carb work and a clutch.
And I recommend that you buy a heavier bike for your first to learn on, that way when you get on one of these lightweight rockets, it will be that much easier. my katana wet weighed almost 550 lbs. My ZX9R now only weighs like 421 and even that is heavy compared to the newer gsxr600's...

Bike is real nice and has chrome rims and new tires. It was my first street bike. It is really easy to ride and handle. Also, once you get used to it, there is plenty of power so you won't have to buy a new bike after your first month. Look at the pic if you like it give me a call @ 817-501-9577

Wade get a Gixxer 600 or an F4i. That guy's SRAD looks pretty cool too.

No money for a Gixxer or F4i right now, maybe an F3 or an older gsxr 600(98-02)

Or even a 90-93 gixxer, they're cheap and my 92 750 made like 100 to the rear wheel, which is plenty of power for a first bike. And they look so cool, i love that old school round headlights with square tail lights look. :D
