Anyone know where to get a good deal on a laptop. Or know someone that gets a good discount (Fry's, Best Buy, Or anywhere.....)

If you dont need anything fancy or too lightweight the Inspiron 1100/1150 is cheap.

way over priced for what you get and the customer service sucks for dell now. Go with a Toshiba. You can get a killer wireless Centrino proccesor with all the goodies for $1000.

I am considering getting the fast system for my car. So I will be needing a laptop to tune it. But i really don't want it to be just that, I would rather have a multi purpose laptop........( if that's a good ideal or not )

Isn't the First Saturday Computer Flea Market in Dallas this Saturday, Oct 1? They have some decent laptops for under $500.

if your going to buy one from Dell, always buy it over the phone you normally save about 200 dollars that way..
