New York and Boston both clinched playoff spots, meaning one would get the wild card and the other would take the division. Texas can't gain 3 games on both Anaheim and Oakland to win the West because they play each other the last three games, and one of the two is going to gain at least 1 game on the other.

A good effort but too many blown opportunities. Good effort my ass. They were 71-91 last season, and now they could potentially hit 90 wins. I'd say that was a great season.
Especially for the Rangers.

Coming in third in your division, regardless of how good the top two teams are, isn't a great season. It's just moving up one spot from last. I said it was a good season, better than expected, but it was a little short of being great.
