This is why I always find Texas a little suspect in the rating. Sorry, but I don't see that killer instinct necessary to carry a National Championship. Texas should have easily covered the 32.5 points given to Rice. No question. Score should have been 63-6 (I'll give Rice the ability to get close enough for 2 field goals their kicker is pretty good). A 44 yd TD run by Rice? Freakin' please.

And along with Young's 3 TDs, he had 2 INTs. Should have been 5 TDs no INTs.

Even if you have the argument that Texas played their second string in the second half, it shows what lack of depth this team truly has.

26 first downs and and only 5 touchdowns. 10 penalties. A fumble, 3 ints. In front of the home crowd.

This team lacks any motivation at all. OU in a rout. I learned last year to take the points when the spread is this large in a Texas game when Texas is the favorite.
