How to erase DVD+RW?

I'm having trouble erasing a DVD+RW that I have a 180mb file on. I tried the windows cd erasing option, and I get an error message. WTF gives? I'd hate to know that I wasted a DVD+RW with a 180MB file.

Any Ideas? I have the newest version of Nero, BTW, and I can't find chit with nero.

There is a format option in Nero in one of the drop down menus but I don't know which one exactly. It should be obvious though and you shouldn't have a problem formatting it.

sometimes I have to try and write to it again and nero asks me if I want to erase first...
