I think I'm finally figuring them out....

reaction: .5243 (sportsman tree)
60': 1.5090 (best tonight was 1.48) - NO tirespin whatsoever, baby launch though
330': 3.9090
1/8: 5.8717
MPH: 125.52

Now all I need to find is another .3-.4 and 10 mph and I'll be competitive! lol

Good job Andrew ! Does it keep the wheels on the ground the entire time? I like the way a DR car lifts the wheels after the launch.

Good Job Andrew...You seriously need to enter that thing in a KOTH Race...

YEs KOTH but use real tires DRs aint gonna cut it hehe. You could go several rounds in the low 5s usually because many of them guys can't hook they try to hard to run it all and not be consistent.

Really nice times on DRs though good job!

cograts on the best on the DRs. Your car looked great out there. Do you think you could launch a little harder without blowing the tires off?

You may be more competitive than you think. Check out the times from this weekend's race. Sure, a lot of people typically show up at Ennis, but the car count in DR seems to vary quite a bit. You could make a really good showing.

Yeah join a KOTH race, I mean you already follow them around every meet to get the well prepped track, shell out the $100 and enter, you qualify you get $200 back, just look at it as getting paid to test and tune

Thanks guys! I think that maybe it has a tenth or two left in it... maybe more if I knew more about how to set up the suspension for drag radials...

Nice times Andrew, I would think at that MPH you have more than a tenth or so. That MPH is sick.

If I have anything to do with it, the MPH is going to go up as well. I'm going to try to run more boost off the line as well as
bring the high boost in sooner. That should increase MPH somewhat.

Andrew, what rate coil over springs do you have on the back? Have you scaled it? What's your overall weight?

Andrew, what rate coil over springs do you have on the back? Have you scaled it? What's your overall weight?

I have strange double adjustable rear coilovers (7" travel I believe - Skinny Kid recommended and sold them to me) with 125#/in. springs.
The front suspension is currently a set of Lakewood 90/10 shocks with 175#/in. springs.

I scaled the car with myself in it and it came in (with slicks) at 3116# with 50.1%/49.9% left/right and 56%/44% front/back.
Unfortunately being novices in the art of scaling a car, we didn't make sure that the suspension properly settled between adjustments
(used a lift to bring the car up and down on the scales) and as such when I went to the track the car WOULD NOT go straight.
The first thing we checked was the antiroll bar which was set with zero preload... we found that there was massive preload and we
reset the swaybar with the same results. The car, instead of being approximately level with me in it, was leaning heavily over to the
passenger side. I decided to load the car up and fix it instead of ending up putting it into the wall. A further inspection found a
blown QA1 front strut which would bind at certain locations of it's travel, possibly causing the scaling error.

I have not rescaled the car since, although with the drag radials on (no fire supression system in the car yet, not enough ballast as well)
it weighed 3155-3160# at ennis two weekends ago. Jamesb welded in my rear crossmember for the 25.5 chassis certification last night which should
add a few more pounds, as will the fire suppression system, but I think that I'll have to find around 30# or so to make weight.

Rear spring choice sounds right, as do the front since it seems to be a bit nose heavy. BUT, you need to add more than 30lbs. I'd add 130 lbs minimum to it as close to the rear bumper as possible. You've got plenty of power to pull it down track. You need to get it to the 330 faster and the weight will help immensely. Just my .02. Light doesn't really work in DR car. :)

Maybe I'll let Billy convince me to put that 100# weight in the car now. ;)
