Fastest List - N/A

[Unseen]

A few rules:
1) You must be an active member of DFWStangs with a minimum of 100 posts. To be active requires a minimum posting rate of 100 posts per year.
2) Car must have run that time with in the last year and have the same or similar combo. Cars that run a time and then are dismantled or sold or remain on the jack stand racing team for more than one year will be removed from the list.

Let me know if you find any errors. Feedback on rules is welcome.

If you want to be added or updated please PM your info. I will get to it a lot quicker that way, because I really don't scour this thread looking for new additions and updates very often.

I have a new NA 1/8 best running like crap. Ignition was breaking down bad could only go to about 6000 rpms motor is supposed to pull to 7200.

so running like ass.Had to shift way early and it was spluttering 100 feet before the line I lifted so mph is down.

Thanks John, Rick! It kinda sucked that I just couldnt get it tested before iheaded to the track first drive or run on any street was the one down the 8th. lol true breakin.

Well I will be replacing some ignition parts and trying to get her ironed out maybe for a trip back to see how she can run when running good. Not sure the converter is going to be good for Juice yet but need it to run right on motor before I can make a valid test of the converter.

Well I went to denton fo rhe DOT street races. We had 8 cars was lots of fun but the track was traction handicapped! Thansk to very slick cars , two chodes pouring antifreeze on the track. So needless to say juice passes on 8.6 inch wide ET streets was a challenge.

I had problems hooking on motor as well of the trans break but I managed to get all new motor bests on the et streets.

So after I get put out by .01 in a race slipping and sliding all the way down the track I switch to the ET Drags 10.5s and only get one pass in did clear her hout seemd to load up some but still went 6.57 @ 103.00 sputtering in high from 6k on out the back door. Then they closed the lanes! Damit I wanted to try again.

The converter is too loose for nitrous so I have to change it so I wanted to try for the best NA passes too bad I had very cold pugs gapped at .030 and 117 race gas. Seems to not clear out well. I am going to start using 110 I think the plugs will stay cleaner that way dont really need the 117.

Sorry Unseen yes it was on Motor. Since I had such a loose converter in the car I decided to make motor passes when not racing the True street class.

Thanks Rick I certianly hope so! It is very promissing with what it has done so far I will be putting my other tighter 4000 stall back in this week I hope and ready to test more on juice.

Thanks Adam, I did make about 2 and a 1/2 attemps on the juice 225 shot and on stuck ok using foot brake and hitting it about 60-80 feet out she went 6.19 @ 116.85
but the shift light at 7200 was on the entire time once I hit the juice.

Thanks bro your doing a great job and I appreciate you taking the time! I do not expect her to get any faster NA I will probably end up slowing her down to high 6.4s/6.5s with the converter change. But I always tune the car on motor first to have a base line to work with.

i broke right before the 1/8 on the 100 shot and went 5.41 @130 crappy 1.28 60ft

i twisted the pinion into when i went to hi gear.

i broke the 3.50 gear

do you think i will pick up with a 3.25??Depends on the converter and the amount of juice you are spraying. If the car is making some crazy power then use you will pick up a little.

Thanx guys, I am still not as fast as I wanna be. I am very impressed with the untouched heads I have on there from Brodix. This is the second year they have been on and I plan cutting them and porting them this winter for sure. Head man Jeff says he can make them flow 342 vs the 290 I am at now.

With the additional head work and lightweight brakes going on this winter she'll be knocking on the 6.0 door I hope. Maybe with the PowerGlide swap I'll get in to those 6.20's I have been shooting for! Untill then I'll keep the t350 untill it breaks again, I am not welding it twice.

A new best!! Looks like I get to step to the #3 spot on the 1/4 mile list. The car ran a 11.07 @ 119.87 mph at the Motorplex today with a 1.49 60 foot time.

Update to mine. Same 347, heads, cam, intake, etc... lightened the car a little and using a t-brake now.

All motor. Little 75 shot nitrous 10.71@121 having to lift off the nitrous before the 1000 ft mark and part throttle across the line. 3.73s and 28" tires with a 4200 rpm 9" converter is a little too loose for the nitrous on the top end, shift light came on at 5800, I pulled to about 6k and then half throttled across the line.

That was the best pass of the weekend, about 75 degrees outside, slight tail wind. Prior pass of the day was a 10.56@126 with a 1.48 sixty foot. So it was no fluke.

The car just kept getting faster every pass. Right off the trailer Friday night, 10.72@124, next 10.69, then 10.68, then 10.63, then 10.59, then 10.58, then on Saturday the above numbers.

Still more to come, maybe a little bit in the carb and a little bit in the converter. Still shooting for 10.20s or better on motor.

Therefore I keep the race cars where they belong, on the track. BTW. The enging in the Cougar is streetable and it can run on 93 octane with a booster and idle at 750 rpm's. Maybe with torco it would but it would slow down a hole bunch. I have a 3500 stall and 3.55 gears. I haven't had a ticket in 6 or so years. Maybe its just the driver can't keep his foot off the peddle! :D

LOL well Me and Zfan went to spinadale last night as someone so aptly named it.

Neither had a great nite. Track sucked and it was down most of the time. I had some issues with an error code causing the tranny to shift way early. Fixed it today but dayum.

Put a new Tranny in yesterday they had just started it back up when I went to took it to the track with a tighter stall. Tigged the fins and added a baloon plate! ;)

I did get a new best NA time over whats listed.

LOL Thanks UNC! I hope to play with it a lot longer also. Just finished swapin the TH400 and 5500 stall :eek: it had for a Glide and 4000 stall to be more N2O friendly. I am planning on running it Friday at Kdale see how it works out.

Only got to make one pass with all the bad luck with the Outlaw cars. :mad:

had a 1.41 60' 6.21@93 had to let off had a bad vibration about 400 feet or so. The drive shaft is about 1.5" too short! I am having it re-tubbed now. I am out of town until Friday night but it will be delivered to Gilbert Friday and I will get it in Saturday. :D

Same 427ci setup, 2980 lbs. I removed the mufflers and ran straight 112 octane and 36 degrees timing.
This was in 90-95 degree heat this past Saturday at Houston Motorsports Park.

That based on my 1.58 multiplication is a 10.34 1/4 mile.

I don't get to run 1/4 mile too often and was hoping for some 10.20s tonight. I guess I got some more changes to make to get the sixty foot where it needs to be.
