This weekend, I stole my brother's cruiser that's been sitting in his garage for a year. It's an '80 Kawasaki 750CC V Twin cruiser. I'd tell you the model if I knew what it was. My wife frowned upon it when I pulled up into the driveway so I know it is cool. The tank and plastics have a flame job on them. Dark blue with a lighter blue flame.
I drove around the neighborhood and on some small streets this weekend getting comfortable with the bike.
Anyway, I need to adjust the idle as it dies unless I give it gas. It will idle smoothly at 1500rpms when I give it gas, but tries to go to 1000rpms when I let go. Any tips? I don't see an idle adj screw.
With a Camaro, a '79 CR250, and a '80 Kawasaki in my garage; I may now be eligible for my "White Trash" membership card.

Forney had a strict dress code. Men's hair could not be long enough to touch your collar. So, I went up, instead of down, and had a high top fade in my Senior picture.

I'll find out later today!! My dad took off on his Harley to Memphis TN, today. It's 389 miles from here. I'll be curious as to how sore he is later!!! I've rode for 2 hours on my gixxer, and that was long enough for me!!!

My point was that it didn't have a problem idling over the 20 miles driving around town. Besides, why would I drive 200 miles on a bike when I have a car with AC.
Are you asking if cruisers are as comfortable as rice rockets?

ok, i missed your point then. Im glad its running good.
I ride 200 miles in a day sometimes and I have a Ford Ranger that has AC and cruise. Whats your point?
Im not asking if cruisers are more comfortable then sportbikes, but im just wondering if they are worth the lack of performance.

That if I had a Ford Ranger, I'd probably ride an uncomfortable sportbike too.

Sir. We'll have no unruly behavior in the Motorcycle forum. This is a civilized place. We are very civilized riders.

He started it. ;)
I drove the "beast" a couple more hours around town. Other than the clutch slipping badly at 4000rpm under full throttle, I had a fun time. Sure it weird going through those areas where the temperature changes dramatically.
