Thanks it looks better with all the other stuff on it but I havent had the damned camera with me when I was over working on it.

I had thought about putting a 03/04 cobra motor in it but I couldnt find one for the price I got the LS1 tranny and magna charger for. Not even close.

So this was the best option.

LOL very true!

I plan on driving it out to a lot of meets everywhere. It is a driver not a garage queen. I couldnt stand to spend the money and effert to have a car just sit.

Nice, although you should sell that Magnacharger IMHO.

Why?

The idea is to take the new technology and make it look more nastalgic. I am not after HP.

What kind of car is it?

I assume it's the black '51 Mercury in his signature.

Ah, then the Magnacharger will be good for looks. The cost outweighs the benefit since LS1s are not boost friendly.

Yes you are correct. I just want the looks and the extra 50 hp will be ok hehe.

I got it far cheaper than you might think. Never hurts to run across a guy who needs cash fast.

Here is a Pic of the car before I took it apart.

I hated the dumb tiny fake side pipes and it road a little to tall will be lowered some once done and still needs windows tinted along with heater and AC system put in.

That's so awesome! Did John W wire it for you? He told me he had wired an LS1/Merc conversion.

I'd be really careful with that MII front end if you plan to drive it. There have been many reports of various MII clips that crack on the HAMB.

Yes he did and he also did the wiring on my 89 LS1 firebird that I did and sold a little while back.

A little of the old a little of the new! Tint makes th interior more comfortable to live in while driving. It is not traditional just nastalgic in many ways.

Chop dat bitch!!!!!!!!!!

Not on your life!
One it cost too much!
Two they hardly every get it just right.
three we like it with its full height body.

Thanks but this is a Fatman Fabrications front clip not a junker MII Stocker. And it is reinforced since we had to notch it for the oil pan they said it would clear.

Pics of some of the new items that are on car now but mentioned above.
We were waitiing on the waterpump to return from being modified from moving water out front to top like a truck to work with the belt routing for now power steering.

That is all going on tonight then we will work on the cold air intake to find out how much room we have for custome radiator and electric fans. After which she should be ready to go.

Supercharger.

All the ones that cracked were aftermarket MII clips.

LOL thanks does that really help me in any way? What would you propse I do at this stage of the game? How do I be careful other than to inspect it every so often as I would anyways?

I don't mind the info but if your gonna say it give me a solution with the comments or else it is usless info.

Like where do they crack how and why do they? I have talked to many people about the MII clip from fat man and none of them have had any problems.
