My god those new kawasakis are retarded fast. Though I think its worth mentioning that all the 04 liter bikes are retarded fast, though it seems the kawasaki's are the most retardedly fast :)
I've never ran my r6 :(, I'd hope it knock off a high 10 w/ 1T down in front.

What about times for what these bikes were really made for? Like Texas World Speedway times, etc.
Too hard to keep up with.
Everyone knows what a 1/4 or 1/8 time means.
Lap times depend on the track.
Although I would be interested in it....

You had almost 1 mph on Chris's bike at the 1/8th, and 5 less in the 1/4? Was the clutch slipping that bad, or did you let off early?
Congrats on the new best times guys...!!!

Clutch was slipping pretty good going through the pits. That was my second to last pass. The last pass I got out of it early cause I could feel it going quick, still ran a 9.97. I put in on the trailer after that. Stacey had a clutch in stock last time I checked so I should have another in today or tomm. Not complaining though, I got probably 60 plus passes on this clutch.....And even right up to the point of going out it was still doing good.
Bring those bad boy ZX's and liter bikes to Noble on the 25th.
I know you will have a good time!

Chris is down 1 tooth, I am down 2 ....he had a slip on and I borrowed Greg's Micron from his bike. My 9.68 should have been a mid to high 9.5 if you look at the 6.27 1/8 mile, also my bike typically picks up 30 MPH in the back half and only picked up 23 due to what I am assuming is clutch slippage.
I have a new clutch and another little sumptin sumptin coming as well. You Gixxer boys are just gonna have to spray to beat this Kawasaki. But don't worry when I start spraying it's all over for ya once again........Rye Rye Gixxer.
Peace to all the fast riders though....... :D

We might need to make this! I have a freind that will run very good there, he's alot faster than me.
ARH...? ;)
If its him, tell him to put the long arm on and come play.
There no 60" but the shootouts are usually "only" in the 8.20-40 range.
Bring yours too..... the more the merrier!

Not me.
I can't blame it ALL on the bike....I was 230 pounds at the time! I just used to love when Sam88gt would tell me his R1 went 115 in the 1/8....and I had to remind him that I went 119 with 200 more pounds :)

LOL...to tell you the truth, it would be a Zx10 :) :) They are just too damn badass. The smart part of my brain says to get a busa for another bike though.....it will keep me from trying to corner !

Chris
Busa's are nice but also heavy, I whooped up on a couple of them out in Louisiana this past weekend.
Cornering sucks, don't even get me started on that......
I will have my ZX10 running in the 9.4 - 9.5 range (motor) next time out. I am shooting for 9.0's then I will spray it to the 8's

Chris, have you sat on a ZX-10? great power, tiny package.
I bought some parts from you a while back, and you aren't a very small guy. Maybe they have some VERY adjustable rear sets for those things.
Rich, you must be able to ride the shit out of that thing, because those are some killer times.

Thanks man,
I have improved alot! My 60's are down in the 1.58-1.64 area, only launching between 3500 and 4000 RPM (that's very low for a bike). I had to do some gearing cause in the Kawi's First gear is rediculously tall, 104 MPH in first gear on stock gearing. I have some more gearing coming next week, going to work on the rear sprocket. I think that will allow me to launch where I need to without burning up a clutch every pass. That's why I am thinking 9.4- 9.5 range, better gearing higher launch should do it. We'll see though......
T/G bike...........1.16, 4.99 @ 136.23, 8.10 @164.92
S/C bike ...........1.22 , 5.40 @125.76, 8.62 @ 149.47
The Top Gas bike will run in the sevens (1/4) I had the N2O turned down to 20%
trying to run the 8.20 index.
Maybe I'll get a chance to hang it out next race.
I guess nobody is very interested in a Bike Fastest List.
Its not hard to figure out why...

You start it. You maintain it. :D I'll "sticky" it so it'll say up top, but it's up to you to set the rules for spots and all that.

Thats what I meant, its a pain in the butt.
Same reason why I dont want to do it.. ;)

Not.....Its doing fine. Maybe your poor maintenance is what through yours out. Mine is very well maintained because I know what I do with it. I use synthetic racing oil, I change it once a month no matter what. I keep my chain at the proper tension and I let the tranny and clutch cool between runs. ;)
