Vitamin and supplement wise, I'm thinking my body has a problem with getting rid of lactic acid. I learned a little bit more about lactic acid build up during workout in my biochemistry class today and was hoping that I could test out some supplements for some personal research.

Thanks

Glutamine will help with that.

i thought that water was pretty good at dealing with lactic acid. I could be misinformed though.

Perosnally, I think the biggest factor is hydration. Staying well hydrated throughout your workout will help prevent the acid from building up.

But here's some more quick info I found for you. if you are looking for a pill or supplement.

It has been shown that sodium bicarbonate can help improve your lactate threshold.

Richard Kreider (University of Memphis) conducted a six day trial with a Sodium bicarbonate supplement where 4 grams/day were consumed. At the end of this period VO2max was improved by 9%, LT raised by 12% and blood-haemoglobin levels by 5%.

Yep, drinking tons of water will help with that. Also, when I took Glutamine it seemed like the soreness went away much faster. But it is an expensive supplement.
