Help! Viper Remote start kit

I'll pay anyone who knows how to hook up a Viper Remote Start kit for my GT 5 speed. Everthing is already in and hooked up as far as the security and stuff. I just need to know if any of you guys can do it cause none of the vehicle install places around here will help.

How are you going to make it safe for a manual since the Viper product is not designed to work on manual?

Just curious. Should've bought a Clifford G4 or G5 instead. :D

all you have to do is bypass the clutch off the alarm... you just cant put it in gear and try to start the car.

i think if i get a 5spd. i will not put on a viper system, i would rather keep my car in good condition.:)

Had to say this, it is not the alarm's fault - no matter what brand. I don't know of anyone that'll install a remote start system on a car w/ manual transmissions. I often though I could handle it, but the older I get the more I realize that it is a recipe for disaster.

The best Idea for safety reasons is to use the e-brake for the "ready to start" trigger...That way when you park the car, if the e-brake isn't engaged the remote start won't work, and if you remember to set the brake you can remember to leave the car in neutral...Also, if the car tries to lurch forward in most cases the e-brake can hold it still (this can ruin the starter though)...That's how I've done them in the past...

This does not work well, this logic caused the damage to the Vette I mentioned above.

See the owner's manual below. The first picture shows the front side of the Intellistart4 owner's manual. Read the third line up from the bottom of the second picture. The third picture shows the backside of the Intellistart4 owner's manual.

I have one of those intellistart4's on my car...installed by EW's guys...lemme tell you it really sucks to have a remote start on a manual car in the middle of summer :p
