Howdy Skip!

I understand that there are plenty of variables, but buying this little truck is almost a definate. It's all about timing at this point, and round numbers would help. We're looking at buying, not leasing. Here's the scenario:

05 Escape
XLT V6
Cloth interior

No down payment
No trade in
Great credit

What kind of monthly payment am I lookin' at with this setup?

Thanks in advance. :)

Give a bit more info to work with (price, loan term, interest rate, etc).
I did a quick figure on a vehicle that cost:
26K
Loan Term of 60 months
Interest rate of 5%
Down of Zero
Monthy payment equals $490.

Let me know the above info, and I can give you a new calculation.

The 26K used was total vehicle cost

A $500 monthly payment on an econo-SUV is a crime.
Vehicle cost should be closer to $20K, 60 months, and I have no clue on the interest rate. That's Skip's job.

Cool, thanks for the lowdown Skip. I know those numbers are based on a screaming deal. Looks to be quite a bit more than we'd like to spend monthly though. I happen to believe that money down on a purchase (not a lease) is not necessarily money well spent. I guess we'll have to look at other options. Thanks again for your input.
