Tips for getting a job

1. Tailored your resume and cover letter to the applied position (I have over 12 different version)
2. Knows about what you wrote on the resume (at least 60% or better)
3. Don’t over qualified yourself, list only certifications that applicable to the applied position
4. Practice on common non tech questions often asked in any interview
Example:
a. What are your weaknesses and strength?
b. What could you contribute for us?
c. In general what you dislike most about people?
d. Tell us about yourself? Mostly asked first…be prepared for this question…most interviewer use this question to sense about yourself and see if you are really is “prepared”.

If your resume doesn’t landed an interview then revised the resume…don’t blame on the economy…IT IS IN YOUR RESUME…you are not selling yourself good enough.

That is the old way...most interview now will be pannel...a group of people specialized in different areas drilled you on what you put on the resume...

But knowing someone from the inside will mostly get you the "interview" the rest is still up to you. The cart front of the horse or horse in front of the cart? ;)

don't have bad breath
don't smell like smoke
DO shave
DO get a hair cut
DO research the company before you apply.
DO bring necessary paperwork when you apply.
DO provide correct employment and Referral information

throwing an application away in texas can get you in serious trouble, your required to keep it for atleast six months i believe

Probably but if it is so messy you can't read it and is also incomplete (meaning not a complete application there by not valid IMO?) And if I dont throw it in the trash (rarely actually happens) you can expect it to get thrown in with the apps that are 7+ months old.
